    1. INTRODUCTION

    This document contains instructions for reconfiguring the G&Z with default announcement files.

    To reconfigure the G&Z SD card, the SD card must contain all the necessary folders. If SD card does not has the
    contents, you can download G&Z SD card contents from Arkel website (Image 1)

    NOTE: If the G&Z SD card already has the required folders, directly go to Step 3.

    2. Downloading G&Z SD Card Contents

    First it is needed to be sure G&Z SD card has the required folders.


    If the G&Z SD card doesn’t has them, G&Z SD card contents can be downloaded from Arkel website (Image 1).

    Note: You need to have Username and Password, to be able to download any document from ARKEL website.
    If you don’t have an account, go to;

    then click "New User Registration" after submitting registration information you will get user account
    password.

    Click “TECHNICAL SUPPORT” from Menu bar and follow below steps.

    After downloading is completed, unzip downloaded folder and copy “G&Z “folder to G&Z SD card.

    3. Reconfiguring G&Z SD Card

    Plug G&Z SD card to your computer. On SD card directory you should see “G&Z” file.
    Then please double click G&Z folder (image 2.1), then you will see many folders like 1, 2, 3, … etc.
    At the end of the page you will see “G&Z_CONFIG” file.

    Click “G&Z_CONFIG” file and a new window will be open like below (Image 2.2);

    At this screen, “Operating Mode” should be arranged of G&Z. (ARCODE, ARL500, GRAY, BINARY)
    And you can also arrange silent mode time interval, repeat time interval of overload and out of service announcements
    and stand by delay time.

    NOTE: Silent mode is available only with ARL500, ARL700 and ARCODE systems. Operation mode shall be selected as
    ARCODE for ARL700 and ARCODE systems.

    After arranging settings, you should create configuration file by clicking “Create Configuration File”.

    And you can check the configuration file is set correctly from the config text file (Image 2.3);

    You should see the text as you arranged during configuration (Image 2.4).

    G&Z SD Card has defaults announcements in English and Turkish. You can load them during configuration at the screen
    below (Image 2.5);

    If there is/are floors under-ground, you can arrange them (Image- 2.5). Then you need to load Voices as Turkish or
    English. And its ready to be used. Please plug G&Z SD card to the G&Z device.

    If G&Z is connected over CANBUS, first the firmware update of main controller should be performed and during
    updating you should see “G&Z is up to date” message.

    *Also, different voice or in a different language voice can be announced by G&Z.

    Please keep in mind these records should be as mp3 file and should be copied under required folder.
    e.g. if you want to be announced any mp3 file at bottom floor, this mp3 file should be copied under “1” folder.
    If you want to be announced any mp3 file during evacuation, this mp3 file should be copied under “Evac”.

    *And “JPRx” folders are announced when a virtual jumper-x is activated. (jumpers are only available when G&Z is
    connected over CANBUS)
