Salesforce Lab Assignment

Salesforce CRM is a customer relationship management system that allows companies

and businesses to connect and understand their customer base more. This cloud-based system

allows users to connect with their customers, business partners, and even potential business

clients. With its easy user interface, Salesforce multiple applications seek to help clients

connect and provide intel and analytics to help retain customer satisfaction and get a better

understanding of how they really feel. Back in 2017, there were over 150,000 companies using

Salesforce that includes the likes of Amazon, Spotify, Toyota, Canon, and many more. This

system also allows helps companies with their marketing by being able to analyze a variety of

important data. Different applications allow clients to gather and study data, apply new sale

strategies, and view incoming revenue. Salesforce CRM is one of the best systems for

companies that want to control their communication with their customers and use the given

applications to continue to grow and prosper.

I can see Salesforce being used in a company that I might work for in the future is how

popular and well established it is. Being that I have a really deep interest in analyzing and

interpreting all sorts of data, I might be given the task of analyzing customer data and

information which Salesforce will help me exponentially. Looking into the Salesforce user

interface we can see just how easy it is to navigate there all the different options which include
accounts, leads, and opportunities, which will help me look at customer data and see any other

information they might be producing. Overall, I can see myself using Salesforce to analyze all

sorts of company data, from customer data to sales.

There are many concepts we have gone over in class that can take advantage of

Salesforce CRM. Being that I have taken INF190 Project Management at Dominican I know that

Salesforce is very useful to people who are managing projects. Salesforce allows users to create

and assign different tasks to people and also send different files amongst each other.

Notifications and reminders help users stay on top of their tasks and by using Salesforce

chatter it’s very easy to collaborate and share ideas with others. The interfaces are also all

optimized for mobile devices so users can take the interface everywhere they go. Overall, I

believe Salesforce is one of the best CRM software systems that companies can use that gives

them a variety of useful applications that will benefit their goals.
