Some buyers complained our thread of regulator is too tight and CO2

cylinder screws only halfway.In fact, there has 2 type for the thread:
T21*4 and TR21*4, and we just sell T21*4, pls kindly confirm your

The conventional CO2 cylinders can be divided in 2 types:
All cylinders with approximately 2-3mm “thick” valve pin.

It shows a very different sodastream thread to the ones I have at home

And the latter would seem to be the Australian standard. This is the keg king adapter, you can
see the thread types are similar. Nothing like the UK one.

The square threaded one is the US standard. The one in the second pic is what I measured and
it conforms to G1/2. A cheap way to check would be to buy a G 1/2 fitting and see if it seals

How it works: Screw the adapter to a commercial CO2 gas cylinderScrew the adapter to a
commercial CO2 gas cylinder. The empty CO2 cylinder is screwed into the adapter Open the valve of
the large gas bottle. After about 15-20 sec., The cylinder is completely filled. Close valve of the large
gas bottle. Opening the bleed screw to drain residue remaining gas.

When using, be sure to following these important points:


1. That the seals goes in the correct location. So when the SodaStream Filling Adaptor arrives, please
make sure to use the correct seal in the correct side.
2. Make sure to put the Sodastream cylinder on the correct side. The SodaStream cylinder thread
can actually fit both sides of this adaptor, but the CO2 cylinder only fit's into the ROUND SIDE. As a
result you MUST put the Sodastream cylinder into the HEXAGONAL SIDE. (as show in image)

Information of Filling the newer Co2 cylinder with filling protection valve(6mm wide valve pin)

Unlike the other cylinder valves, this valve must be filled with a slow increase in pressure. When
refilling, it is important that the pressure in the first few seconds is very low, only the cylinder valve
remains open. The handwheel is therefore open at the beginning only slightly and very slowly until
some gas flows through (this can heard). Wait about 10 seconds and then turn the hand wheel
slowly by hand half a turn further on. After another 10 seconds, the hand wheel can be turned all
the way. Wait about 30 seconds until you hear no gas flows and turn the handwheel to back. After,
filling is complete.

Since the handwheels opens the handwheel slightly, it is advantageous, for example, on the first
attempt. Carefully turn with a small pipe wrench piece. Due to the larger lever, the flow can be
controlled . After a few attempts it will come off by hand -without aid. If there is gas flow during the
untwisting at the beginning... stop!! You must repeat the filling operation. The adapter must be
vented in advance.

The cylinder should be empty. Pre Cooled cartridges will get quite full. The disadvantage is the
repetitive effort in adjusting the pressure increase as opposed to the other cylinder valves which can
be filled by simpley crackin the handwheel. If you want to bypass this effort, it is recommended to
use a cartridge with one of the other valves. (In our shop you can have a suitable valve for this
cylinder with order)

(Background for filling: This valve has a second valve stage, if a pin lying behind pushes back too
much pressure through the valve, it closes from the inside. A manual operation of the valve pin
during the filling process does not bypass this function. This cylinder valve is possible only with
slowly increasing pressure.
