1 Compatibility
The licenses for SICAM PAS CC V6.x, V7.x, and V8.0x continue to be valid for SICAM SCC
V9.0x, but they are not compatible with the authorizations of SICAM PAS CC V5 versions.
There is an upgrade license available for former V5 authorizations.
SIMATIC WinCC V7.3 (V7.3 Second Edition) must be installed with at least Update 16.
SIMATIC WinCC V7.4 must be installed with at least SP1 Update 4 and Patch 4/Update 5.
SIMATIC WinCC V7.4 without SP1 cannot be used.
Detailed references regarding SIMATIC WinCC and SIMATIC software can be found in the
WinCC Information System in Installation Requirements and on the following support websites:
The required hotfixes/updates for SIMATIC WinCC are available on the SICAM SCC DVD.
Check whether a new hotfix/update for an installed component is available on the DVD.
In order to be able to run both SICAM SCC and DIGSI 4 on the same computer, install DIGSI
first and then SICAM SCC. Uninstalling just one product is not recommended.
NOTE
After the installation of SICAM SCC, if you install or uninstall SICAM PAS/PQS V8.03 or earlier
or SICAM PQ Analyzer V3.03 or earlier on the same computer, you must repair the SICAM
SCC installation.
To do so, use the functionality provided by the Windows Control Panel.
NOTE
The SICAM PAS Protocol Suite V7 is no longer included. Change your SICAM SCC projects to
the SICAM PAS Protocol Suite standard channel before updating the software.
3 General Restrictions
NOTE
If you migrate a SIMATIC WinCC project or use the OS project editor, deactivate the SICAM
Add-in in Graphics Designer’s Addin-Manager before.
When the Graphics Designer is opened, the SICAM Add-in takes a few seconds. Since the
Graphics Designer gets frequently opened and closed in the background during these
operations, an activated SICAM Add-in could cause delays or abortion of the operations.
If you use Windows 2008 Server SP2 32 Bit, there may be sporadic problems with the WinCC
Project Manager when deleting all imported data of a station/a project. Errors during the
deletion are indicated in the Trace Window. Errors occurring during deletion are reported in the
Report window, and the WinCC Project Manager closes. In this case, create a WinCC Project
and copy the diagrams and other components into the new project.
If you switch the runtime language in SIMATIC WinCC, you have to close and re-open the
WinCC project before import/update, in order to get the texts of the import data for the Alarm
Logging System to be written into the text library in the correct language. When updating a
station, the same runtime language must always be used as with the first import.
NOTE
When importing data, observe the maximum number of tags that you have licensed for
SIMATIC WinCC. In SICAM systems every data structure is numbered as a tag.
If the maximum number of your licensed tags is exceeded, no further external tags are created
by WinCC. However, the internal parts of the tag structures are created. If this problem
occurred you have to delete all imported data of the project with the Wizard and then delete the
remaining external structure tags and internal single tags (*.RTInfo, *.RTCmd, *.RTSync, and
*.IXHook).
After installing a license for the required number of tags (the “smaller” license has to be deleted!)
or removing tags from the mapping to SICAM SCC, you can do a re-import.
Close the WinCC Configuration Studio before importing data with the TEA-X Wizard to avoid
access contentions.
If you want to configure PAS or IEC connections later, you can, for example, pass through the
SICAM PAS Wizard with the option Create SICAM components in project without import data
before starting the SICAM Network Manager.
After this initialization all Wizards and the Network Manager can be used.
For redundant SICAM SCC systems, each server enters messages in the message lists.
Because of the Online synchronization for Alarm Logging of the WinCC redundancy, you
then see these messages twice.
After installation of the plugin, the SCCCommon.dll file has to be registered on the Web
Navigator Client. To do so, execute the SCCCommon.bat file with administrator rights in the
Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Siemens\Bin folder.
3.3.1 Display of Switching Objects up to SICAM SCC V7.02 with own Pictures
If user-specific bitmaps, configured without absolute path in SICAM SCC up to V7.02, are used
for display within the switching objects, these are not displayed during runtime in WinCC V7.2
or higher. The default search path is relative to the folder Program Files (x86)\Siemens\WinCC\
WebNavigator\Client\bin. You can reference the used bitmaps using this path or store them in
this location.
3.4 Topology
To be able to use the new Topological Coloring of V9.00 or higher, you have to adjust the
existing configurations. Consider the notes regarding conversion in the manual.
The previous Topological Coloring is not supported anymore.
o Open the properties of the message types in the Alarm Logging and select the
Flashing on option to activate flashing.
It is possible to display the user name in the message lists during runtime, when the
DAF is used. When a message is entered into to the message list the content of the
variable DAF_Username is written into the User Name DAF column.
Write the current user name, e.g. while sending a command, into the variable
DAF_UserName. The variable can be found in the tag management within the internal
tags folder in the SICAMDAF group.
In the Graphics Designer open a picture with a SICAM SCC message list for DAF.
In the Message lists tab of the WinCC AlarmControl properties you can now add the
User Name DAF from the available message blocks to the message list.
If you use the DAF_Username for messages that have to be acknowledged, consider
the corresponding configuration information. This allows you to configure an operation
message as acknowledgment message, containing the user who was logged on during
acknowledgment.
Messages which are displayed colored in the event list are displayed with GO color for
both COME and GO state.
NOTE
To be able to operate left and right mouse buttons via touch screen for SICAM switching objects
in older WinCC versions, place a transparent button on top of the SICAM switch and call the
same object functions for the button events Mouse Click and Press Right as provided in the
SICAM switch for OnLeftClick and OnRightClick.
However, in the VB Script of the button you have to hand over the name of the object. For
example, item.ShowSwitchDialog becomes Screenitems("<objectname of SICAM
switch>").ShowSwitchDialog.
Click OK to confirm your selection of process tags in the tag-selection dialog. A double-click
would only open an empty field.
For the connection via the IEC Communication Suite the LS/TR object with CScript, SBO and
QoC is available in the library. This object supports the output via CScript.
With redundant SICAM SCC systems, double entries may occur in the message lists if the
IEC 61850 devices operate with Buffered Report.
This behavior especially occurs after connection interruptions or after restart of the SCC
Runtime on one of the redundant SCC systems.
The channels of earlier SICAM PAS CC/SCC versions do not support the current switching
device objects introduced with SICAM SCC V8.00 and the SICAM SCC Runtime Data Server.
If you use one of the V5, V6 or V7 SICAM PAS channels included in the scope of delivery in
order to set up a connection to SICAM PAS, you use the V7.x IndustrialX switching device
objects which are also available in the Graphic Objects Library.
The channels of earlier versions do not provide the additional process data required for the
SICAM SCC Runtime Data Server. For this reason its functions are not available for tags from
these channels (e.g. spontaneous blinking).
After changing the ProjectID resp. HMIInterfaceID (e.g. when creating a redundant project)
these settings have to be redone.
When following the instructions of the SICAM PAS Wizard, the layout of the SICAM line printer
is copied into the project directory using the Create SICAM Alarm Logging System option.
When installing a new version of SICAM SCC, the sicam_signallist_lineprinter.rp1 file must
be copied from the ”..\WinCC\Syslay” directory into the ”..\<Projectname>\prt” directory.
When opening the Report Designer for the first time, the SICAM layouts are copied into the
project directory. When installing a new version of SICAM SCC, the following files must be
copied from the ”..\WinCC\Syslay” directory into the ”..\<Projectname>\prt” directory:
• @sicam_signallist_pageprinter.rpl
• @sicam_signallist_pageprinter_land.rpl
• @sicam_short_term_pageprinter.rpl
• @sicam_short_term_pageprinter_land.rpl

• When selecting the Delete fault record after successful transmission parameter in the
Recpro Collector, you can now define via the RpCol.ini file in the Number of Deleted
Records entry how many of the deleted fault records shall remain in the administration file
(frcdlist.csv) of the source archive.
NOTE
o The communication driver checks the administration file to determine whether fault
records existing in the device have already been transmitted into the source archive.
o If the device includes more fault records than the administration file, those records which
are not included in the file will be transmitted.
o Following deletion by the Recpro Collector, the last 10 entries will remain by default in the
administration file in SICAM PAS CC V6.03 until now because SIPROTEC 4 devices
cannot store a larger number of fault records.
o Certain devices from third-party manufacturers can store a larger number fault records.
For the Number of Deleted Records entry in the RpCol.ini file, you should therefore
define a value which is greater than the maximum number of the fault records stored in a
protection device. (Default value in the new RpCol.ini = 100).
In the Recpro setup directory the current Recpro hotfix may be available; install this as well, if
applicable.
SICAM RecProtec

• In large pictures, the display of bitmaps in switch controls is optimized. Switch controls with
bitmaps are shown fast and correctly when switching pictures or zooming.
Bitmaps having the same path will be loaded only once.
NOTE
o The new property “AckTagCycleTime” enables you to set the update cycle of the
acknowledge tag. By default, this value is the same as for the WinCC update cycle
(property “TagCycleTime”).
You can change this value via the WinCC object properties dialog.
o If you change the update cycle “TagCycleTime” via the IndustrialX controls property dialog,
the property “AckTagCycleTime” will be set to the same new value as “TagCycleTime”.

• If no upgrade to SICAM PQ Analyzer shall be done, SICAM Recpro V6.0x can also be used.
For this case, a SICAM Recpro V6.03 SP6 installation is included to the SICAM PAS CC
V7.00 SP1 DVD and can be installed from there.

SICAM Recpro V6.03 installation with SICAM RecProtec. It can be installed from there.
• In the bay overview object, the output behavior for line color changes has been improved.
• Improvement of dynamic behavior in pdlrt.exe. When diagrams with many active
topological objects are open, WinCC pdlrt.exe will no longer be closed sporadically.
• If topological coloring is used, consider the following notes:
• To reduce the display times, the transmission of the OFF color in switching device
objects upon initializing has been removed. For this reason, the line parameters and
nodes must always be defined in OFF color.
• Upon initializing, the ground objects must transmit the grounded state to the line,
because they are no longer triggered by the switching objects.
Proceed as follows to ensure that the ground objects transmit the grounded state to the
line upon initializing:
Define a selection area, select a ground object in this area and then select identical
objects. In the SICAM menu under settings, select upgrade Topological Ground and
then Group parameterize…. In this way, you connect the ActivateControls variable to
the RGBValue property of all ground objects.
General Information
• The operating system Windows Vista is supported.
• SIMATIC WinCC V6.2, V6.2 SP2, V6.2 SP3, V7.0 and V7.0 SP1 are supported.
• Operation together with SICAM WinCC V5.03 possible
• New Substitutions function in IndustrialX Controls, measured-value objects (structure
types)
• New concept for topological coloring
SICAM Functions
• New functions for substitution
• To be able to use the new “substitutions” function in existing projects created in older
versions, the related structure types must be converted.
There are 2 possibilities for the conversion of the structure types:
Possibility 1:
Follow the description in the configuration information “CompPack_ConfigTool.pdf“, from
SICAM PAS CC V7.0 on in the user guide.
Possibility 2:
Delete the “SICAM Process Tags” with the Wizard. Then delete the structure types in your
project manually and import the “SICAM Process Tags” again with the Wizard. Extended
structure types are generated by these steps.
The SIMATIC WinCC Tag Management allows you to load the SICAM PAS PROTOCOL
SUITE V5.chn or the SICAM PAS PROTOCOL SUITE V6.chn. Afterwards, select the
desired channel PAS DATA SERVER V5 or PAS DATA SERVER V6 in the SICAM PAS
Wizard during the data import.
• For more details on the configuration and update of SICAM PAS/SICAM PAS CC systems
with different versions, refer to the configuration information “CompPack_ConfigTool.pdf”,
from SICAM PAS CC V7.0 on in the user guide.
