Course Overview
ACTIVITY 1

Read the LDM Course Overview. Reflect on the overview by


answering the following questions. Write down your insights:

1. What is the main delivery of this course?

Answer: The main concern of this course is to deliver education to learners in


this new normal setting by using Self Learning Modules prepared by
selected teachers.

2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to
deliver quality instruction in the “new normal”?

Answer: This course will be a great help to ensure the delivery of


quality instruction for it helps teachers be prepared for this distant learning
in this new normal situation. It helps teachers to gain knowledge, skills and
mindset that are necessary in this new teaching and learning set- up.

3. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with
your learning in this course?

Answer: The webinars conducted by DepEd and the school- based LAC
Sessions.
ACTIVITY 2

Answer: The willingness and commitment to take this new normal teaching
and learning challenges successfully is a great help to achieve the positive learning
outcomes.

completing this course?

Answer: By giving my time and effort to complete and accomplish the


given task on time.
ACTIVITY 3

Look for a colleague with whom you would like to discuss your
answers and reflections with the questions in Activities 1 and 2.

To carry on the objective of this course in ensuring that the learning continues in the
new normal is a great challenge for the teacher in implementing the lesson successfully
and also accomplish all the given task. The need to improve the teachers’ professional
development is important.
ACTIVITY 1

Begin by refreshing your memory on the Learning Action Cell.


Read “DepEd Order No. 35 s. 2016 titled “The Learning
Action Cell as the K to 12 Basic Education Program School-
Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for
the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.”

Once you’re done, answer the following questions. Write your


responses and any other ideas and reflections.
1. Reflect on the objectives for conducting LAC sessions as listed in
DO 35, s. 2016. Rank the following objectives from easiest to the most
difficult to achieve:
2 To improve the teaching-learning process to improve

1 To enable teachers to support each other to
continuously improve their content and pedagogical

REFLECTION
Learning Action Cell (LAC) is essential in engaging a group of teachers in
collaborating and solving shared challenges. The knowledge, skills and topics
shared increases understanding and ideas of the curriculum and other teaching
strategies and techniques in the new normal. It helps in finding ways for
education to continue amidst the pandemic.
