If we go back in history to when society was based around the hunter and gatherer process of life, there was no existent
monetary system. People from villages would venture into the wilderness and scavenge for food by hunting animals just
to survive. If we go forward in time to keep this simplistic, those hunters eventually became experts in their profession
because of their experience which means they brought back the most food and resources for their village. In turn, these
advanced hunters and gatherers were admired by members of the village, subsequently giving them a "leader" or alpha
male role in society.
These upper echelon hunters would have been questioned by other aspiring male hunters, enquiring about their method,
knowledge and training schemes. Let’s go forward in time again – the previously master hunters now had no need to
Society found a new way of transferring knowledge through what we consider rudimentary skills of life – reading and
writing. Knowledge would have been passed through the work of ancestors who would have documented research,
knowledge and findings in books or stone carving – earning them a position as "teacher" or "scholar". An advancement
in knowledge and science meant that because of thecomplexity of this information – things needed to be managed which
lead to members of society being elected to form a government, where positions like the King’s advisor were fulfilled.
This orchestralcontrol meant that any issues or aspects needing management in the society could be taken care
of.There’s simply no need to go in depth about monetary systems because everyone knows how they works. But
something worth understanding is that a ruler in society will always want to be in control of everything and anything.
The leader will do whatever they can because their dream is to stabilize and advance society. But understandably, there
is a need for a monetary system. In ancient economy, gold was a standard measurement of money because it was (and
still is) perceived to have value and only be available in limited quantities. Over time, the economy growth was stagnant
because gold wasn’t plenteous. This meant "bankers" began to give loans to people through checks which were insured
by gold deposits that they had guarded and secured. Bankers realised they could make a lot of money through this and
continued providing loans which then provokes a reaction from the government – who ordered that gold is no longer the
ruling currency, and instead, paper money became the ruling money.(try google brenton woods agreement, which
removes the gold standard)This paper money was backed by another paper money. This is known as fractional reserve
banking because fiat monetary systems drove economy growth beyond unforeseeable levels at the expensive of honest
and hardworking slaves.
The government and rulers still continue this predatory practice today.
To keep this money in circulation and maintain its value, something had to be done. Then came debt and interest rate
charges; all money is debt, this is fact. Do your own research. Every time banks lend out money they only create
principal money and the interest rate money doesn’t exist. The amount of debt is always more than the available money
supply in the economy. Because of this, people need to compete with one another in order to pay back their debt. In
order for someone to pay back their loan, someone else is going into debt and bankruptcy. It’s nothing but a game of
musical chairs where one player loses. Even if you got the most brilliant business idea, other people will take
advantages of it or bring you down because that’s what the system create. You cant do it without hurting someone. It’s
also notable that the government and bankers will never allow people to finish paying their debt because the economy
would stop. Therefore, as society today, we are in an infinite growth paradigm economy. All these systems used for
economic growth engines require slaves and ignorant people to run them.
The only way to force idiotic working class people is to trap them through debt in the form of loans you’ll commonly
see on the market today. Ask yourself honestly, how do you think people will react when they’re under constant stress
because of the pressure to pay debt? The working class get home from work and vent their depression/torture and
unhappiness on their children because their job sucks but they have to work. When these children grow up, what are
they likely to become? Drug dealers, criminals, and in relevance – carders. Even if someone or police/LawEnforcement
had the ability to kill every criminal on Earth, crime will never disappear. It’s not the criminal themselves but the
system that produces criminal behaviour.
Upper class people are also under stress from bank loans, shareholder pressure and threat from competition in business.
Eventually this leads these people to criminal ventures (carding is a prime example) to continue their business to
provide a living. You may argue that genuine business(wo)men, don’t need to resort to crime but going back to the
musical chair example, even if everyone is an upper class businessman, bankruptcy is still inevitable. The upper class
will always want to control the economy via interest rate and tax. They can create an economic crisis. Stock companies
fall and you’ll always see upper class companies taking over smaller companies (corporate merger, takeover).
We’re all in this game created by upper class people, pro-capitalist advocates/economists, even before we are born..
Society is like this because the rulers of society print the money, pay people so they work for something and then in
return they sell back their product and services to the king. This makes sense to people until they realize that the king
The argument I often hear is why don’t you get a job like everybody else? It has to be reminded that this type of crime
usually we are trying to attack the bigger institution like bank. I know credit card fraud
victim usually is the one to take loss, but its not the point.. the picture here is they will report to authority and bank.
Later they will get back their money
Even in legit jobs, what we are doing is not necessary right. Goods such as foods are sometimes destroyed to keep prices
up; when things are scarce prices increase.
In his famous novel The Grapes of Wrath (Chapter 25), John Steinbeck described how food was destroyed during the
Great Depression :
“Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people come from miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How
would they buy oranges if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges...
A million people hungry, needing the fruit – and kerosene
sprayed over the golden mountains. And the smell of rot fills the country.
Burn coffee for fuel in the ships... Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry
people from fishing them out [with nets]. Slaughter the pigs and bury them...
And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the
certificates – died of malnutrition – because the food must be forced to rot.”
A few more facts. In 1933 alone, the federal government bought 6 million hogs and destroyed them. Vast quantities of
milk were poured down the sewers. 25 million acres of crops (the area of a square with sides 200 miles long) were
ploughed under. In Brazil, 69 million bags of coffee, equivalent to two years’ output, were destroyed. All to keep up
prices.
The current depression is the deepest since that of the 1930s, and its end is not yet in sight. As real wages continue to
fall and austerity measures bite harder, more and more goods will remain unsold.Falling prices and profits are already
leading to scenes reminiscent of those portrayed by Steinbeck.
Bulldozing houses
There have been reports from around the United States of the destruction of houses, many of them newly built. Most
foreclosed houses can no longer be sold at auction, even for prices as low as $500.
They end up in the hands of banks that see no medium-term prospect of reselling them and conclude that the cheapest
solution is to tear them down. This happens not only to individual houses but often to whole streets. In May 2009, a
bank decided to bulldoze an almost finished housing complex in California rather than spend the few hundred thousand
dollars needed to complete it.
Meanwhile the ranks of the homeless continue to swell. They are in desperate need of housing but generate no
“effective demand”.
In early January, The New York Times ran a story about two major retail chains, H&M and Wal-Mart, throwing out
unsold clothes in trash bags. First they are made unwearable: employees are told to slash garments, slice holes in shoes,
cut sleeves off coats, fingers off gloves, etc..
The response to this article included internet testimony from ex-employees of other large stores, revealing how
widespread these practices now are.
Cheryl: “I worked at Dillards for several years. They do the same thing. Their logic was that if they donated it [to
charity] people would try to bring it back to exchange for other merchandise.”
Martha: “Yeah, I used to work at a store where they would rip the bed sheets, blankets and pillow cases if they couldn’t
sell them, then throw them away... I thought it was dumb. I wanted to take it and donate it, but they didn’t let me.”
Nat: “I used to work for H&M and hated to cut the clothing [that] I knew we could have given away to those who
needed it. We destroyed EVERYTHING and I found it so stupid. It was such a waste and sad!”
Maryliz: “This just makes me sick. How terrible, especially right now with people freezing to death. They could have
been saved if they had sufficient warm clothing. Shame on the companies that do this.”
Maggie: “I got so mad that my managers wouldn’t box up [unsold food] and take it to shelters that I called corporate
headquarters... They wouldn’t let the food be donated! Some blather about how that would devalue the brand, because
people would just go to that shelter to eat the food instead of coming and paying for it.”
The vintage
Steinbeck finishes Chapter 25 with the passage that gives his book its title:
“In the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and
growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.”
There is ample cause for wrath. But wrath is not enough. The managers who got Maggie so angry have to act as they do.
