X. SIMULATION PROPER
MJ:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Let us
ask God’s wisdom to guide us through this entire event. Please rise for an invocation through a reflective audio-
visual presentation.
Ma’am Christine:
Please remain standing as we pay homage to the Philippine National Flag. Let us all together sing the Philippine
National Anthem; and sing with us beautifully afterwards the “Calatrava Hymn” and the “DepEd Hymn”.
MJ:
A pleasant morning, Ma’am Christine!
Ma’am Christine:
Good morning, Ma’am MJ, and good morning everyone! We do hope you’re not as overwhelmed as we are right
now. Right, Ma’am MJ?
MJ: Oh, precisely, Ma’am Christine. I guess I have just lost all my brain cells last night trying to figure out how this is
all gonna be. Yet, perhaps, unlike me, I can be sure as Heaven that our presenters and TA personnel have prepared
well-enough for this moment.
Ma’am Christine:
Certainly, and I’m pretty sure as well. With that being said, we would like to welcome you all to our District and
Schools Monitoring, Evaluation, and Adjustment Simulation for the Fourth Quarter Period of school year 2019-2020!
MJ:
Indeed, welcome, everyone, starting from the greatest to the least of us here in this hall. This SMEA program is
anchored on the principles of Access, Quality, and Governance of the Department of Education. “It is literally true
that we can succeed best and quickest by helping others and each other to succeed.” That very principle is the
highlight of today’s event.
Ma’am Christine:
Very well said, Ma’am MJ. Moving forward, let us recall the DepEd’s very own principles. May I call on the ever-
attractive principal of San Isidro Elementary School, Mr. Cirilo S. Biarcal, for the DepEd Vision, Mission, and Core
Values. Let us welcome him with a sounding applause.
MJ:
Maka-Diyos, Makakalikasan,Makatao, Makabansa. These core values of DepEd significantly symbolize the Filipino
people’s strong faith and reliance on God. Putting God first of all is one important substance that we should never
lose despite curricular changes over time. Thank you very much, Mr. Cirilo Biarcal, for reminding us the essence our
gracious calling as teachers.
Ma’am Christine:
Perfectly said, Ma’am MJ. At this point in time, let us invigorate and renew our minds as we listen to a wisdom-filled
FOOD FOR THOUGHT. To do this, may I request the ever-gifted principal of Buenavista Elementary School. A round of
applause to Mr. Bryan N. Gomez.
MJ:
That renewed our minds and empowered our hearts to the core. Thanks “big time”, Mr. Bryan Gomez. In this
interval, and to formally welcome everyone to this day’s undertaking, may I request the ever-beloved PSDS of
Calatrava District I; a woman of substance herself, a lady with an iron fist but with a heart of gold, the ever-prudent
supervisor for all seasons, Dr. Cleopatra C. Alegrado. A resounding applause for her.
Ma’am Christine:
Thank you very much, Ma’am Cleo for those strong and powerful words of acknowledgment. The essence of this
affair is not only the deliberation of the well-prepared presentations from each participating school. As equally
important are the feed backing and discussions which will be catered later by the regional technical assistance team
of DepEd. So, to formally and officially introduce them, and I can imagine the pressure, is no other than my dear co-
host this morning, Ma’am Merlinda Jane G. Brasona. A round of applause, please.
Ma’am Christine:
Thank you very much, Ma’am MJ. I think you’ve done well enough in introducing our legendary regional personnel.
MJ:
Wow, thank you, Ma’am Christine. That sure messed with my entire nervous system, not to mention my blood
pressure. I sure hope that was good enough. Thank you once again. And before we finally proceed to our simulation
proper, let us lighten our hearts with all the heavy pressures inside. Let us be entertained by a song intermission
number especially prepared by the ever-talented teacher-in-charge of Valmayor NHS. A lady with a voice that is as
equally beautiful as her face, Mrs. May Grace V. Garcia. A round of applause, please.
Ma’am Christine:
That was beautiful and heartfelt. Thank you very much, pretty ma’am May Grace Garcia. And Ma’am MJ, I could feel
the nerves of everyone here at this very moment.
MJ:
You’ve said it, Ma’am Christine. Pressures all theirs, and mine as well. I heard that majority of our school heads have
not gone through an SMEA that is as grand and superb as our SMEA this year. This is a regional-level event, and
everybody is hoping to hit the presentations with their best shots. Our sincerest prayer of guidance to all the school
heads and their SMEA coordinators.
Ma’am Christine:
Our prayers go as well to the technical assistance team of DepEd regional. May they provide to the best of their
ability and earnest hearts the best technical assistance they could provide.
MJ:
And may all the ___ elementary and secondary schools of Calatrava District I under the supervision of Ma’am
Cleopatra Alegrado bloom and blossom as they put into action all the significant and purposeful advices from our TA.
Ma’am Christine:
Beautifully said. Without further interruptions, we welcome everyone to our simulation proper!
MJ:
And for our first presenters, may we call on _________________, and her SMEA coordinator, ___________________
to do the honors. God bless!
