The lesson plan aims to introduce students to the basic features of Microsoft Excel. It contains 5 objectives for students to achieve an 85% proficiency in defining spreadsheets, explaining Excel's functionality, and learning basic vocabulary, data entry, formatting, and operators. The plan outlines a procedure involving an introductory activity, a video presentation on Excel, discussion of the video, and dividing students into groups to build a simple spreadsheet solving a math problem. Students will then evaluate their knowledge through a short true/false quiz and answer questions about the benefits of learning Excel.
