The “Hossain Fashion Limited” is a company in RMG sector. At
B.K.Bari,Mirzapur,Gazipur Sadar, Gazipur. They produce men’s denim t-shirt and they
export them in foreign countries like America & Brazil. Because, most of the clients &
buyers are from those countries. They are a company based on export and import. They
imports raw material from china and after finishing work they export those products. And
contributes in foreign income.
We have chosen RMG sector because this is a site which brings most of the remittance.
And we have selected this company because they doesn’t sell their product inside the
country.

Our board objective was to learn how to manage an organization.
Specific Objective:
To do this we maintained some rules and regulations given by our instructor.Firstly, we
selected an organization which was “Hossain Fashion Ltd.” Then we visited there with all
of our group members. We talked there with the quality manager of this organization. We
came to know that they follow the rules that is given by BGMEA.
After that we talked with the director of this company. All of this was our visiting
objectivities.
And then we did a report about this company. Those are the way we came to learn about
how to manage an organization.

We selected this company for knowing how to manage an organization, to know their
product, to know how they manage their employee. The location is suitable for us
because we live in same district. We heard their product quality and management system
is very good. As a management student we could get all the information about
management that’s why we thought “Hossain Fashions Ltd is a good choice.
ii) In this organization we know their management system. They have Managing
Director, Director, General manager, Production Manager, Quality manager, Floor In
charge, Supervisor, Security guard and Cleaner. We know about the functional
approaches of manager of “Hossain Fashions limited”. There are four functional
approaches in their organization: Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling .
We know about the buyers of Hossain Fashions Limited. The buyers of Fashion Fashions
Ltd are normally from Turoskaw, America, Brazil. The organization already achieved 8
line. Their target is 24 line. They selected their employees by following BGMEA rules.
We found some problems like human resources, they don’t have much branded buyers
that’s why their pricing product is very low than other organization. We also know about
quality management system. In this company they have no quality management system.
Basically the organization have no diversity.

2. How do they manage “putting the right person for the right job”?

As a member of BGEMA, “Hossain Fashion ltd” follow the rules of there and try to
fulfill the entire requirement which given by BGEMA. For putting the right person for
right job this organization maintains the requirement which is given by BGEMA.
Selecting the right person for right job can be one of the most critical ongoing
responsibilities a company has. ‘Job fit’ is very critical to a company bottom line. This
organization can hire the employees by their qualification and experiences. For example,
in this organization their middle level manager are product manager and quality manager
and a worker can be a product manager when he/she has that experience, what they
needed and they need to know that how they manage their join effectively. As like as,
quality manager need to know about that much experience to be a quality manager.
Finally, this organization hires their non-managerial workers. They need to know that
how to produce product and they need technical skills.
The management of “Hossain Fashion ltd.” concerned about their workers medical and
health issues. That’s why, their organization makes a agreement with Norway friendship
hospital, and they have only one nurse. A clinic room and some basic medicine to give
care their workers in emergency. Especially, they try to support female workers because
sometimes they have family problems, sometimes they have lack of awareness about
health and safety issues, they are more weak than a man at every stage of life but it’s
phenomenon is more visible in case of adolescent girls and pregnant mother. In this care
this organization tries to support their workers to make them understand that they need to
be careful about their health issues. But their medical facilities are not good at all because
it depends on the size of factory as well as clinics to which they supply. “Hossain Fashion
ltd” is not a big factory. Lastly, this organization has a health insurance for their workers.

4. How many departments have this organization?
“Hossain Fashion ltd” has 10 department productions. The flowchart shows the various
departments:
Planning:
The first of the managerial functions is planning. In this step, the manager will create a
detailed action plan aimed at some organizational goal.
For example, according to the general and quality manager of “Hossain Fashion ltd”, they
have a goal of increasing sales. So first they spends time mapping out the necessary steps
them and their team of sales representatives must take so that they can increase sales
numbers. These steps include things like increasing advertisements in a particular region,
producing best quality shirts, increasing the amount of required buyers-to-sales rep
contact, or contacting prior buyer to see if they are interested in purchasing additional
products.
Organizing:
This step requires managers to determine how they will distribute resources and organize
their employees according to the plan. So they need to identify different roles and ensure
that she assigns the right amount of employees to carry out their plan. They will also need
to delegate authority, assign work, and provide direction so that their team of sales
representatives can work towards higher sales numbers without having barriers in their
way.
Leading:

The third basic managerial function is leading. The skills of influencing people for a
particular purpose or reason are called leading. Leading is considered to be the most
important and challenging of all managerial activities.
In “Hossain Fashion ltd” the managers leads the workers under their in order to increase
sales. To increase sales they needs best quality products. So they guide the workers for
that. They guide which buttons, which color, which design will be most efficient for
making the shirt.
Controlling:
Managers of “Hossain Fashion ltd” control the overall process by walking around the
lines. They also have cctv camera to monitor their workers. And if anyone faced
problems to making the shirt then the managers helps them how they will do it.
Workforce diversity means similarities and differences among employees in terms of age,
culture, background, physical abilities and disabilities, race religion, gender.
“Hossain Fashion ltd” maintains the age difference for selecting employees. They take
employees if they are upper than 18 years old. They don’t take any employees who are
below 18. Also they don’t take any employee who is upper than 50.
They don’t make any difference between any employees for culture. Rules and
regulations are same for every cultural background employee.

According to religion they have some differences for their employees. Each and every
employee gets the eid vacation. And those who are from another religion they get
vacation for their religion occasion also.
According to gender “Hossain Fashion ltd” has some rules and regulations. For female
workers they provide some extra facilities. For example they provide transport services
for those who are pregnant mother; they don’t keep any night shift for female employees;
they don’t give any hard and heavy work to female workers. Without these all of the rules
and regulations are same for both male and female.
3. Who are their buyers? What are the challenges they face to select the buyer?
The buyers of “Hossain Fashion ltd” are normally from Turoshko, America and Brazil.
The brands they supply products normally are Moowtain Gear, RCHLO, Renner, Copel,
Leader, Defecto etc.
Most of times their relationship with buyer is constant tug-of-war by both sides. Here are
some challenges “Hossain Fashion ltd” faces when attempting to keep things copacetic.
Timely billing and payments: This issue seems to be the most glaring when it comes to
invoicing and payments. The buyer wants to stretch out payments to pad their cash flow.
The bigger the buyer is, the more likely they are to have leverage over them. On the other
hand, if they want to get their payment as soon as possible, sometimes even offering
discounts to buyers if they make their payments earlier.
Shipments and delivery: This can become a point of friction for them and buyer. The
Buyer complains of the Supplier delaying the shipment of products and not always being
truthful about the delivery of products. And they have complains about the buyer not
giving them enough notice with their purchase orders.
Quality and accuracy: The quality and accuracy of shipments is sometimes a complaint of
buyers. Sometimes it is a point of frustration. Because their buyers are from America,

Brazil etc. The countries that are far away from Bangladesh. Sometimes it takes 25 - 35
days for the product to be delivered. And if by any chance there are missing product and
some of it damaged. Now the buyers have to return and get a new order. Now it will take
2 - 3 months to get the damaged product and supply new products.
4. When they run the organization do they have any competitors? How they
manage it?
“Hossain Fashion ltd” doesn’t have any competitor according to their product in the
surrounding. But they do have competitors according to the factories. There is a factory
called “NAZ” besides them. This factory is bigger than “Hossain Fashion ltd”. “NAZ”
have more employee and better facilities.
Without “NAZ” as Bangladesh knit sector is one of the largest knit garments
manufacturing industry in the world. The sector is producing top quality knit garments
for global fast fashion brands.
So for managing their competitors “Hossain Fashion ltd” maintains some issues. For
example “Hossain Fashion ltd” tries to give enough facilities to their workers according
to their abilities. They entertain their workers by providing picnic, music systems etc.
Also they give transport facilities to the workers. In order to manage their competitors
“Hossain Fashion ltd” tries to maintain the best quality product.

1. What is TQM? How they maintain TQM in their organization?
TQM means Total Quality Management. There are many system they need to maintain
for TQM in their organization. At first they have to identify critical success factors.
critical success factors help an organization focus on those things that help it meet
objectives and move a little closer to achieving its mission.
Then they identify their key customer group. It can create products and services based on
customer requirements. They identify their customer feedback theyand maintain
customer satisfaction survey. They always develop and improve their plan. Every year
they resurvey their production system.
In this organization they promote their employee in many way. At first the organization
check their employees educational qualification. In their organization the people who
have good experience for his/her working position then the organization promote their
employee. Sometimes they check their working performance, their merit, out knowledge,
and ability to complete any work In less time. But most of the time the organization
promote their employees for his/her working experience with educational qualification
and the person need minimum degree.
3. How they manage their business inside and outside of the of the country ?

In this organization they manage their business inside and outside of the country by
following some techniques. At first inside of the country they follow our government
law. They maintain green business system. The organization always maintain BGMEA
rules. In outside of the country the organization they introduce their product by
maintaining their culture. In this organization most of the buyers are foreigner that’s why
they produce their product the buyer what they want. They always maintain their quality
product in outside of the country for this reason they can make good relationship in
outside of the country.
This organization is medium size organization and this is oven type factory. This
organization is mainly export base. They are trying to produce import base product. This
organization is total 20 line system but they are working in 8 line for lack of employers.
The organization produce fashionable and standard quality shirt. All these categories are
include with this organization.

02. For running this company which rules they follow ?
This “HOSSAIN FASHION LTD.” company follow BGMEA rules. And the rules are
which they follow :-
• Election board.
• Election appeal board.
• Voter.
• Voter nomination, specimen signatures, photographs & voter ID card.
• Proposal.
• Scrutiny.
Sometimes they have to skip the rules because of their buyer’s requirements. Because,
their buyers are foreigner & they don’t know about the Bangladesh’s business rules. But
the producers are Bangladeshi, that’s why the follow the rules. But sometimes they skip
some rules for their business purpose.

1. what skills they have and what are those skills they need for run their
organization ?
In every organization need some skills . the factory we visited they are producing shirts,t-
shirts. So they have enough technical skills and they are using new technology. Team
work skills in every job human being are the most important and we see that in their
organization everyone is so friendly and working together .They also have good
communication skill . For communication language is most important thing and in this
factory their worker are minimum SSC passed . they also know some English .
communication is important in any language I can be in Bangla not only English .
They need some human skills for achieve their goal . because of their lack of human
skills they are not able to achieve their target . Their target was create 20 lines but they
are able to create 8 lines because of lack of human skills and conceptual skills . For
solving this problem have to find out some workers that they have to experienced . And
top level managers have to be very careful about their work .
When anyone is producing goods that time it is sure that they will face some problems .
problems can be known or unknown . The ability to think creatively in any situation and
do some serious problem solving is a great advantage for workers and producer both.
The company we visit they have a fixed person that he will solve machine related all
problems . For find out what is going on is there any problem they have to check is
everything going according to planning .If there is any problem then have to find out the
mistake and again do the work efficiently . Managers have to keep communicate with
workers all the time . A better communication must need for find out problems .

We also see that, that they are providing free medical service for their worker if anyone
feel ill. They have to be creative and try to solve their problems by their own. That will
be helpful for them and the result will be a good productivity .
3. How can they staffing their employees and how they train their employees ?
First of all carefully planning is required to ensure that they will hire employees , train
and compensate staff properly . For that have to hire the right person for the job . They
divide the work according to their ability . The works have to by functions like planning,
organization, leading, controlling . for better output give them training, have to
immediately perform it . so that it will be clear that they understand the work or not .
They can use new technology for tanning . They will learn easily . For example they can
create short tanning video and upload for teach them. This is a interesting process.

There are some recommendation needs in their organization. At first the company has
lack of develop plan. The organization has transportation opportunity but their
transportation system is not good. There are few transportation opportunity for their
employees. They need more vehicles for improve their transportation system. There are
some internal problem in their company. They need emergency exit system. Their
security system is not high. They need to solve the strategic planning and management
tasks. There few information in their website. They need to increase all of information for
improving their website.
