Ring: The Video Doorbell

Ring is a home security company owned by Amazon. Ring manufactures a range of home security
products that incorporate outdoor motion-based cameras and doorbells, such as the Ring Video Doorbell.
The Ring Video Doorbell is a smart doorbell device that allows users to monitor and operate their front,
back and garage doors remotely. When the doorbell is pressed, the Ring application begins a VOIP video
call using a 1080p camera to a connected device, so that the owner can see and speak to visitors. It can
send alerts to the owner whenever there is an object moving in front of the camera. Ring is also equipped
with infrared functionality to provide night vision. The camera can be rotated at 160º horizontally, and
90º vertically. The Ring Video Doorbell connects wirelessly using 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection at
2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.
