COURSE DESCRIPTION :

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable skills and attitudes of
Agricultural Crops Production NC l in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic,
common and core competencies in the production of crops such as rice, vegetables, fruits
and nuts as well as many others.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :

Trainees or students wishing to enroll in this course should possess the following
requirements.

 Able to read and write;


 With good moral character;
 Ability to communicate, both oral and written
 Physically fit and mentally healthy as certified by a Public Health Officer

 Instructions and directions are followed and clarified based on supervisor’s


requirements and workplace procedures.
 Irrigation work is undertaken in a safe and environmentally appropriate
manner according to enterprise guidelines.
 Interactions with other staff and customers are carried out in a positive and
professional manner as specified in the employee manual.
 Irrigation work practices, handling and disposal of materials is observed
following engineering and enterprise policy and procedures.
 Problems or difficulties in completing work to required standards or timelines
are reported to supervisor based on company reporting procedures.

 A clean and safe work site is maintained while undertaking irrigation activities
in accordance with OHS procedures.

 Storage practices and principles for materials and equipment
 Waste materials storage and disposition
 Routine maintenance of irrigation and/or drainage systems and components
 Repair, maintenance, and storage of infrastructures, materials, tools and

manufacturers’ specifications and supervisors’ instructions.
 Site is made good according to supervisor’s instructions and good
environmental practices
 Work outcomes are reported to the supervisor following established reporting
formats.

 Routine cleaning, maintenance and storage of tools and equipment
