Four Plots in A Midsummer Night’s Dream:

There are four plot lines running through the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Your task is to keep track of all four plots (how they develop and where they
overlap). These four plots are:
1) The marriage of Theseus and Hipployta
2) The mixed-up love affairs of Lysander, Helena, Demetrius, and Hermia
3) The preparation of the play by the actors
4) The quarrel between Titania and Oberon
A helpful method may be on scene summary, note which plot was dominant in
that particular scene. Or, make a chart similar to the one below and note the
scenes and acts in which that particular plot line was picked up in. (Note: There
will be overlap)
