Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some
parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital
heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology.

1) Background & Rationale

Swat is a district in Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.


Swat is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. Swat's capital is Saidu Sharif, though
the largest city, and main commercial centre, is the nearby city of Mingora. With a
population of 2,309,570 according to the 2017 census, Swat is the 15th-largest district of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There is no single specialized hospital or unit/center for heart
disease.the population of swat district face big issue for that, they use to cities of urban
areas for treatment. Mostly they use to go to Peshawar, kpk, Pakistan which is which is
157 km far away from Swat.

Swat district has no specialized hospital or center for heart diseases treatment. Mostly the
people of swat travel to Peshawar city KPK, Pakistan for the heart treatment. Where they
use to travel 157 km.

4) Research Objectives

1. To build a heart center which is easily accessible by the citizens of Swat.


2. To take out the people from trouble of heart diseases.
3. To provide a healthy environment.
5) Research Questions

1. Will it help the people of Swat?


2. Will it help to the doctors to polish their skills?
3. Will it provide a clean environment for the patients?

6) Significance of the Study


 
1. The design will help the people of swat for providing good facilities.
 
2. To decrease the patient travel form swat to Peshawar.

7) Research Methodology
The research methodology for the stated research would be as follows:

1. Collection of secondary data (Research journals, books, articles, Reports, Software


manuals).
2. Collection of Primary data (Questionnaires, Interviews).
3. Development of Design Brief in consultation with stake holders (Faculty, Staff, Project
Directorate, Senior Management).
4. Site analysis of available options in consultation of stake holders.
5. Developing schematics for proposed design solution.
6. Developing the proposed design model using BIM tool and extracting drawings .
7. Analysis of time & energy aspects using BIM technique for the design developmen

8) Population & Sample


The targeted population for the project is mainly for the people of Swat
