PROJECT CHARTER

Project Title: Automated Timetable Scheduling

Project Start Date: 21-01-21 Project End Date: 26-08-21

Project Objectives
1. The final system should be able to generate timetables in completely automated way which
will save both the time and effort of the administration.
2. To generate clash free and nearly optimal timetable.
3. User defined constraint handling.
4. Focus on the optimization of resources i.e. teachers, labs and rooms etc.
5. Provide the facility for everyone to view timetable.
6. Notifies the faculty and students on every update.

Deliverables

1. With the adoption of an automated scheduling system designed for MUST, it should be
possible for academic registrars of the school to create conflict-free course timetables for both
teachers and students.
2. Based on the systems input parameters, courses should be assigned to appropriate into a
particular timeslot based on lecturer’s available times and the system should be able to manage
the number of classes that can take place at a particular timeslot.
3. This is to ensure that the number of classes that are scheduled for a period are not more than
the number of rooms available.

Scope

Automated Timetable Scheduling generates timetable for each class and teacher, in keeping with
the availability calender of teachers, availability and capacity of physical resources and rules. It
termendously improves resource utilization and optimization.
