ELEC-E8405 - Electric Drives, 12.09.2018-12.12.2018

This document provides information on the ELEC-E8405 Electric Drives course offered from September 12 to December 12, 2018. The course covers applications of electric drives and power electronics, including cascade-controlled DC motor drives and scalar-controlled induction motor drives. Students will learn to model electric drives, tune controllers, and select appropriate motors and converters. Assessment is based on two assignments, worth 10 and 20 points respectively, and a 70-point final exam. Contact is Marko Hinkkanen and the course includes both lectures and exercises.
