B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
1. Course Description

The goal of this course is to provide students with the background knowledge, theories and
practices of management information systems. It describes frameworks for introduction information
systems into an organization. This course will also cover e-commerce strategies, DBMS,
Information security, and so on. In the LAB the students will have general concepts of MS Excel.

2. Course Main Objective

 Educate students about MIS concepts, information systems for operational, tactical and
strategic management in the various functions of an organization.
 Enable students to learn how systems approach and MIS development methodologies
are used for building MIS applications in organizations.
 Enable the students to grasp how organizations should manage end-user computing
and other information resources.
 Inform the students about the various ethical, economic and social implications of
MIS.
