1. General
ETR300 Interface Software is for Windows. Through serial communication (RS232 Ports on
front panel and side panel) and TCP communication (Ethernet Port on side panel), setting change
and records can be managed. Fault waveform data is easily viewed, and fault analysis is more
efficient by zoon in/out waveform.

1) ETR300 can download all records and it can be viewed in real time as well.

2) All downloaded data are classified into groups, load profile and fault events have wave forms
and it can be printed out.

3) All downloaded data are able to be saved in file, and the saved file can be viewed in OFF-line
and can be printed.

4) Not from the panel, but through the interface software, setting can be changed. Unlike panel,
the interface software can support System information configuration.

5) Recorded data in ETR300 can be form into Excel file in order to provide convenient data to
the user. Graphic data has zoon in/out feature and it helps to investigate the data.

6) The interface software has 3 steps of security system. It has different type of
login(Administrator, Common User, Basic User). And unauthorized user shall not be able to
be logged in for security reason.

7) Through DBMS mode, record data can be data based by individual registered device and the
database can be managed and saved.

4. File
Event data file(*.RDB) and Setting file(*.SYS) are presented for Data file.

RDB File
 RDB file includes all history data and setting data, however, RDB file can’t change a setting.
 During on-line status, one received event is able to be saved.
 Saved file can be viewed and also can be printed.
In DBMS mode, event data are automatically databased and stored so RDB file need not be
stored and managed separately.

SYS File
 SYS file is to change a setting and save a setting. It does not record any event. SYS file can
be set in the office and can upload the set SYS file to control panel.
 Opened file can be changed in “SETTING” menu.

Open and Save

 File is saved where the file is located.(work directory)
 Open: Open RDB or SYS file.
 Save: On-line case, RDB & SYS is saved in the same file.
 Save as: It is saved in new SYS file.

5. Data Management Preference

Use “Preferences” menu to select data management method: file mode or DBMS mode.

File Mode
Event data received from the device are saved
as RDB file and managed. If the operation
program ends without saving, the received
data are deleted.
Figure 5-1. Preference Menu
DBMS Mode
Event data received from the device are data based per registered device and saved and managed
Even without going through save procedure, the data is saved in the operating program PC.

5.1. Device Registry

In DBMS mode, record data is saved and managed per device so devices that are able to
interface with operating program must be registered. Click on “Connect List“ and “Device
Connect” under “Online” menu (Only available in DBMS Mode), to bring up “Device Connect
List” then register device and/or manage(change) device.

communication settings. To start communication, click on the [Connect] button in the
Device Connection List. Refer to “5.1. Device Registry”.

Baud Rate Check

 This searches the connection speed automatically when connecting to PC serial port.
 Because it may take time depending on the communication speed, it can continue or cancel
after information window. ‘Baud Rate’ will be selected as the speed of the detected
automatically after the guideline if it continues and detects the possible communication
speed. In case of detection failure, the guideline of failure is informed and it maintains the
previous status.
 ‘Baud Rate Check’ button is active only in the serial communication mode.

“Title” and “Description” setting is available in DB management mode only and inputted
information is displayed in “Title” and “Description” of Device Connection List.
