A Malaysian owned company is launching a new product (your choice of new


product) into Malaysia market. You are required to apply what you have learned
from marketing management on the importance of developing intelligence and
strategic insights about Malaysia market situations and consumers buying behaviour
for the launching of the new product. The written assignment is approximately 3,000
words and the assignment should be outlined as follows:

1. Company profile- (marking 40%)


a) Describe the company organizational structure, major key milestones of
development and achievement. (20%)
b) Describe the nature of activities and new product provided by the company.
(20%)

2. Business start-up-(marking 10%)


Describe how the company developing marketing strategies, marketing plan,
collecting information and forecasting demand for the new product.

3. Business opportunity – (marking 10%)


Describe how to create long-term loyalty relationship with consumers to sustain the
competitive advantage in business.

4. Addressing the challenges-(marking 40%)


a) Describe how to create a brand, brand equity and setting product strategy for
market offering. (20%)
b) Describe how the company managing mass and personal communications to
deliver value and communicating value. (20%)

Key guidelines

1. Each assignment report should be presented with a cover page which should
state out the title of the essay and also outline the names, index numbers and
email addresses of students who participated in the assignment. The mobile
number of all the group members should be included.
2. Your assignment study should focus on how an organization attempted to
address a business challenge, opportunity or problem. Hence, the business
problem, opportunity or challenge should be clearly stated and discussed.
3. It is important to draw out some of the social, managerial, organizational,
technological, legal or economic issues which contributed to either the
success of the technology-enabled solution.
4. To ensure confidentiality, you should keep the names of organisation and its
employees anonymous, where necessary.
5. Student required to submit this assignment by soft and hard copy before or
on 7th March 2021

Assignment report format guidelines:

Students are required to prepare a report minimum 2,000 words (not including the
reference list) for the above task. Assignment report writing format: Your work must
be produced using MS Word or similar.

1. Font: Times New Roman 12


2. Spacing: One and a half (1.5)
3. Number of words: 3,000 words (approximately)
4. Numbering of page: bottom, center.
5. Alignment: Justified

Penalty for late submission:


Within 1 working day after the deadline: 50% reduction in marks earned.
Beyond 1 working day after the deadline: Assignment is awarded 0 mark.
