This document provides information on two facilities at the National Technical University of Athens: a 100m towing tank (Laboratory for Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics) and a 32m x 26m x 1m wave flume (Laboratory of Harbour Works). Both facilities were established in the 1970s and can generate regular, irregular and transient waves using movable wavemakers driven by electro-hydraulic systems. They are equipped with carriage systems, data acquisition instrumentation, and are used to test models of ships, harbor structures, breakwaters and offshore platforms.
