popularity over the recent years (Lawrence et al. 2018). Cinema is grouping movies from
different states and different screens. In this case, I will focus on the SWOT and PESTLE of the
SWOT typically refers to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats exhibited
in the business or industry center. The following are well-elaborated features of the SWOT under
Strength

considers best. Many reasons enabled the cinema industry to be progressive in the right direction.
The following explanations, such as strong visions to achieve the best from the sector, motivates
the cinema industry to work harder. They work together towards achieving their primary aim of
achieving their eyes. Another strength of the cinema industry is that it typically has a strong bond
with the cinema stakeholders and ensures the cinema reaches the best. The stakeholder aids of
different types such as financial, informational, emotional support, and many more o the industry
to ensure they achieve their visions. The sector then obtains strength because it has strong ties
with other cinema industries such as holy-wood and different types of cinema professions and

daily activities. The following are the weaknesses that face the cinema industry, including been
expensive to carry on. The cinema industry requires a lot of resources to carry out the industry's
daily activities, such as paying workers, purchasing well-modernized equipment, among others
(Gkarane S. et al. 2020). The industry is also facing a problem that is resulted from
fragmentation of the industry and to manage the sector becomes difficult. There are many
departments in the cinema industry as it is categorized into departments like sound, editing,
producing, photography, and graphics. To handle all this requires more skilled workers and more
experienced ones. Then that weakness appears in smaller towns that contribute to the drawback
cinema industry.
Opportunities
Opportunity typically refers to those out there the cinema industry can grab to ensure
they achieve their visions and profit from it. One of the possibilities is the emergence and focus
of small cities which are growing economically. This will ensure that more people spent more
time in the cinema, especially when they are on free time. Also, most people channel their focus
on those smaller movies, which has created an opportunity for the cinema industry. More interest
in the smaller movies motivates more people to indulge in cinema and produce smaller cinemas,
Threats

competition from other industries that deal in film making. Stiff competition from other sectors
has led to the companies or industry to share the existing clients. The theatre also looks for those
in the industry to have a given experience in the industry before. They have contributed to
boredom as the audience is used to those faces for a long blood duration. There is no injection of
PESTEL is the initials of the words which are brought together to form a word. They

There are several political standoffs to those in power, especially the United States of
America, and China brings about the competition about stiff competition in the cinema industry.
The two political stand of these two political stands to prevent free interaction and share of ideas
across the globe. It also contains those who are willing to join or have shown interest in investing
Economic factor
The high cost of the entry fee on theatre has caused the cinema industry's challenges as
70% of the total cash collected in the theatre goes to the studio, and only 30% goes to the owner.
The skyrocketing price of entry fees has contributed many people to stay back and opt not to
attend those cinemas. (Mir F et al., 2019). The emergence of smaller cheaper cinema that offers
Socio-cultural factors
Running Head: CINEMA INDUSTRY 5
In this section, a low number of people typically turn out to attend that theatre and go and
watch those cinemas. The cinema industry typically has its uniqueness that you cannot
experience while watching a movie at home. It doesn't matter how big the screen is; the
Technological factor
The cinema industry should come up with the policies and ideas that work with the
current situation. It is advisable to use the equipment which is modernized, such as bringing
VAR on the screens. This will encourage more people into the industry and perform more. It will
assist the audience in learning more from the industry. The cinema industry should come along
with new and well-planned ideas and better tech for the industry's smooth running.
Environmental factor
The surroundings is another essential factor that plays a vital part in ensuring the cinema
industry continues and is running smoothly. The cinema industry should use LED lights that are
environmentally friendly and also friendly to people. (Mir F et al., .2019). The industry should
ensure that whatever method they use and all the techniques do not pollute the environment or
affect the surroundings and the audience or those taking part in the cinema industry.
Legal factor
The government should come up with those policies and legal rules that protect the
cinema industry. The government should come up with strict laws that ensure the cinema
industry is progressing well. The regulations, such as copywriting and piracy, should be enforced
to those who break them. Any person who has copied the cinema of another person should face

the law. Doing this will help reduce the conflict in the industry and the smooth running of the
industry.
Inadequate capital
Despite Saudi Arabia having many resources, the cinema industry is about to collapse
due to insufficient funding of the sector. This sector is not well up in the form of financial
strength, and since everything requires capital for thriving and running of daily activities to
Legislation
The legislation is absent, and the rules and regulations keep on changing from time to
time, which makes it a barrier in the cinema industry. The industry rules keep on changing,
making it difficult to follow up the drive and get to the root cause of the problem. Then the
legislation that makes laws are nowhere to be found, and the industry is left alone
Most people are being employed in the public field sector, and this typically makes it
difficult to discover and nature talents (Sari G. et al. 2020). Fresh graduates are taken from
universities and employed in public sectors; thus, they lack the free time to realize their talents.
The government should be giving each and everyone equal opportunity both in-office and talent
arena.
In conclusion, the cinema industry plays a vital role in ensuring the youths and young
people realize their talent and nature. The cinema industry also provides an opportunity for

employment for those who are jobless. The industry should be protected and well-financed since
it can be a great entertainment source and the source of revenue if it is well taken care of.
