1. Course Objectives:
 Discuss the functionality of computer systems, computer applications, and databases.
 Provide the students a good understanding of the design of management information
system and specific aspects of management control.
 Teach and practically instruct students how they can apply technology in real business
situations.

3. Evaluation: The distribution of marks for assessment in a course will be as under:

1) 1 x Mid-term examination of 1.5 hours duration (Out of 30) : 15%


2) Comprehensive Semester Final Examination (Out of 70) : 35%
3) 2 Class Tests : 12%
4) Individual Term Paper and Presentation : 10%
5) Assignments and Case Studies (group) including presentation : 10%
6) Class Participation, Class Contribution and Sincerity to the class : 5%
7) Class Attendance : 10%
8) Attitude, Conduct and Manners (For administration pool) : 3%
Total : 100%

4. Grading System:
Letter grades are used to evaluate the performance of a student in a course. The following
grading system is currently followed for performance evaluation of the students:

50% to < 55% C+ (C Plus) 2.50
45% to < 50% C (C Regular) 2.25
40% to < 45% D 2.00

8. Additional Guidelines:
 Cell Phones should be on silent mode and respond to urgent calls outside
the class.
 Any sort of plagiarism will not be tolerated.
 No makeup class tests.
 Each day of delayed submission of any assignment/item will cause 2%
reduction in grade, and extensive delays will not be entertained.
