DATA MINING AND WORKFOW DESIGN 2

Introduction

In every project, effective planning strategies ensure significant work progress. Data

mining plays an essential role in workflow designs within hospitals. Data mining involves a

process where industries turn raw data into crucial information. This strategy allows software

implementation for data analysis. Workflow design includes mapping out the essential tasks that

had to take an item from one aspect to another. However, in the healthcare sector, data mining

plays a significant role in hospitals by ensuring high patient life quality and efficiency increase.

Data mining has provided a profitability increase in the hospital using workflow design; it has

uncovered significant relationships for nurses and health professionals and played a role in data

governance and monitoring aspects.

Data mining and workflow design in hospitals

Data mining plays a significant role in workflow design in hospitals as it permits the

institution to acquire crucial details about the patients, thus effective medical services. Data

mining plays an essential role in workflow design strategies (Kretschmer et al., 2017). However,

workflow design includes a set of tasks linked by the executive function where multiple inputs

and outputs programs are connected in a sequential strategy. Data mining aids in increasing the

process and ensuring the data moves smoothly from one phase to another.

The workflow design entails crucial components, such as input, transformation, and

output. However, data mining techniques aid in increasing workflow models and workflow

management systems used to outline, arrange, and gather workflow tasks. Data mining ensures

useful data prediction or information trends in healthcare settings, as this information aids in

saving more patients' lives.

This data mining aids in workflow management strategies where business enterprises

such as hospitals use administration, automation, and business process activities scheduling

(Kretschmer et al., 2017). In healthcare settings, it aids in the analysis of patient care and support

care delivery strategies. This workflow design assists in the crucial transformation of raw data

into essential information. Likewise, this workflow design ensures a useful analysis of data

mining by discovering and optimizing process models. This workflow enables functional

analysis of health aspects and Information technology solutions thus increase in profitability.

Markedly, data mining involves the concept extension where large data sets are analyzed

effectively for similarity to enable precise outcomes prediction (Medvedev et al., 2017). The data

mining in workflow design allows an effective HER plan that easily fits into a medical formation

workflow enterprise. This information enables the significant creation of executive workflows by

computer programmers. The strategy allows critical workflow design formation and permits

remarkable strategies to organize various tasks. Workflow design has played a crucial role in

enterprise information management, where the design aids in workflow model construction

based on the details about essential activities. Data mining strategy ensures the workflow design

is practical and minimizes unnecessary workflow irregularities. This data mining allows precise

analysis of workflow elements for a healthcare admission, such as patient flow, medical

reconciliation, medical records, and documentation (Ţăranu, 2016).

Data mining uncovered relationships.

Data mining has enabled discovering crucial relationships that assist nurse administrators

and executives in their professional field. Nurses play a role in ensuring quality improvement by

performing interdisciplinary strategies to accomplish the institution's goals. Nurse administrator

provides effective financial resource control, business management, planning, and staff control

aspects. Data mining has ensured the uncovering of interpersonal, professional, and self-

relationships that enable nurse administrators to make quality decisions.

The interpersonal relationship includes the connection, association, interaction, and bond

between people. This relationship plays a role in healthcare delivery services by creating a bond

between a nurse and the patient. However, this bond allows the nurse administrator to interact

effectively with the patients. The relationship enables the nurses to deliver quality patient care

services. Likewise, it increases the understanding level, thus creating trust between the nurse and

patient. Another essential relationship includes a professional association that allows a nurse

administrator to follow the ethics code while administering to the patients (Ţăranu, 2016). This

relationship enables nurses and health professionals to focus on work, thus accomplishing the

institution's goals. However, professional relationships permit nurse administrators to advance

their careers and take responsibility and accountability for their services. Lastly, self-relationship

enables nurses to understand themselves and build their confidence and self-esteem while

handling critical medical issues. It permits the nurse administrator to connect with themselves

and focus on delivering quality.

Nurse executives need to work closely with the advanced analytics professional to ensure

adequate work progress. Advanced analytics professionals analyze big data using statistical

analysis and predictive modeling strategies. These professionals ensure pattern detection,

business experimentation, optimization techniques, and time series forecasting. Working with

these professionals enables them to acquire essential leadership skills such as integrity, honesty,

responsibility, and accountability (Ţăranu, 2016). These skills ensure medical error reduction,

increase in patient outcomes, and staff retention. This close relationship allows nurses to deliver

a comprehensive care service that meets patients' diverse requirements.

Data mining has ensured data governance strategy and monitoring services in the

healthcare facility. Data governance includes the management of usability, integrity, availability,

and data security in enterprise systems. This governance occurs depending on internal data

standards and policies that regulate data usage. However, data governance ensures data is

trustworthy and consistent. As data mining provides the transformation of raw data into crucial

information, data governance protects this information (Jones et al. 2020). It addresses data

issues and allows the information to be sufficient for business processes and decision making.

This governance ensures an industry's informational assets are effectively managed through the

enterprise. Likewise, it enables the data to be secure and permits essential business operations.

The teamwork strategy will allow the nurse executive to effectively implement data mining and

ensure data governance in the healthcare facility.

Markedly, data governance can be monitored in different strategies such as proactive

monitoring, data lineage analysis, dashboard monitoring, and business value, which is done by a

corporation. Data governance is measured by data integrity, the number of amalgamated data

sources, and the number of data boards involved in leading data. The proactive monitoring

strategy ensures data quality and significant transactions and interactions (Jones et al. 2020).

Likewise, it enables easy identification and critical issues mitigation. Data governance can be

monitoring by data lineage analysis that allows transparency and data quality aspects. Another

monitoring aspect includes dashboard monitoring that addresses data completeness, integrity,

uniqueness, consistency, accuracy, and standardization. Lastly, business value analyzes

enterprise risks, increases operational efficiencies, and optimizes client satisfaction. The

corporation involves individuals, processes, and technologies required for an industry's data

assets management and protection. However, staff members play a role in data governance. This

governance ensures the data is secure, correct, complete, and understandable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, data mining has ensured profitability increase in the hospital using

workflow design; it has uncovered significant relationships for nurses and health professionals

and played a role in data governance and monitoring aspects. Data mining involves a strategy
