When examining for keratoconus, one should check for corneal thinning and scarring, conjunctival injection, Fleischer's ring, and papillae by evertion the eyelids. Additional tests include using a retinoscope and assessing for other clinical signs.

Final Arab board - ORAL exam
Center : Amman, Jordan

One case :

Young girl on slip lamp.

Asked to examine anterior segment.

Findings: Clinical signs of keratoconus with muddy conjunctiva.

Do not forget to ask the examiner can I evert the eyelid to check for papillae
(looking for the cause of KC).

Also, ask if you can elicit other signs of KC with retinoscope and light.

Good luck to you all.
