Dear [First Name]:

I want to write you to thank you for [your business/your friendship/coming to see
me lecture the library/etc]. Even though [our work together is done/we haven’t seen each
other in a while/we never connected further], please do not forget about me.

The first point of my newsletter is that everyone needs a lawyer in their life.
Anytime you -- or anyone you know -- has any kind of legal issue, I would like you to
think of me as your “family lawyer.” I can either offer my own help, or send the issue on
to my network of friends in the profession. Because I have been doing a legal interview
show called “Everyday Law” for the last 5 years, I know all of the good lawyers in Lake
County by now.

A good friend of mine once told me that I am a natural communicator. If I hadn’t


been a lawyer, I would have been a teacher, because I love to present ideas. That is why I
do my show on Comcast 17 on Mondays at 5:30 pm. That is why I have a podcast and
YouTube Channel called “Everyday Law.”

Please tune in if you can.

My mission is to spread the gospel that: “No one should be so


uncomfortable with the law and legal things that they fail to take the right
steps to protect their family.”

To that end, I am including some “referral cards.” If you have a friend with a legal
issue, write your name on the card and give it to your friend, so that when he or she
comes to see me, I know it was you who sent them!
