Pro Anticarb HB Elastomeric Coating

USES

A water based high build Elastomeric Anticarbonation Coating for protecting the surfaces of pre-stressed and reinforced concrete
members of building exteriors in coastal installations, bridges, exposed to high vehicular gas emissions.

SCOPE
A high solid, high performance water borne Acrylic Elastomeric Coating specially designed to protect exterior concrete providing anti-
carbonation and excellent water vapour diffusion property. The coating in system extends durability of the structurals for its good
crack bridging property and resistance to fungal growth. The product with its very low VOC emmission, qualifies as per LEED
standards.

Conforms to IRC :SP: 80 -2008 Rev 2019 and MoRTH Specification Section 2800 as per guidelines under 2808

SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete: New Concrete - Ensure that the concrete is cured for minimum 3 months. The surface is to be made
rough and free from laitance and other contaminants by sand sweeping or hard wire brushing, under reference to
SSPC SP 13. Apply primer before applying the finish paint.
The surface moisture content should not exceed 5%.
Old Concrete : Remove all salt deposits from the surface by water jet washing. Light sand blast the surface or hard
wire brush to remove all loosely bound coatings and roughening up of firmly adhering coating to ensure
anchorage with the primer. Ensure all dust/other particles are fully removed by suction or air blast and the surface is
fully cleaned and dry before application of primer.

APPLICATION
Mix the contents thoroughly before and during use.
Brush/Roller : Apply preferably without thinning. If required, add upto 5% soft potable water.
Airless Spray: Apply preferably without thinning. However, if required, add upto 3% of soft potable water if
required. Use any standard airless spray equipment with a 58 : 1 pump ratio with a fluid tip of 21 - 26 thou (0.53 - 0.66
mm) or adjustable tip and an air supply of 690 - 830 kPa (100 - 120 p.s.i.) and a line size of 12 mm ID.
