a. It was started in the October of 1994, by Tim Berners-Lee at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, in collaboration with CERN, with support from DARPA and the European
Commission during its founding year
b. Organizations who fill out the application to join W3C can join it, and the cost varies
depending on the organization's head quarter's location and their gross revenue and the
membership dues vary in this same way
c. I clicked on technologies for media and entertainment and I found out that WC3 is involved
in both improving virtual gaming and spaces, which I did not expect. I learned that games
ran on web assembly uses the coding language C++. I learned that W3C is also going to work
towards providing different screen, color, and audio support as well.

a. It was created to help establish the internet as a globally needed and provided for
infrastructure, especially less developed places that did not have this infrastructure in place.

c. I can join by simply following the instructions on their website, and it doesn't seem to cost
anything to do so. I would recommend that a beginning web developer join the internet
society because participating in the events and meetings would be a good learning
experience and expose the beginner to the current events of the internet
