The selection of the lower BIL for a given nominal voltage, or for a marked ratio in Figure 14, Table 15,
Figure 16, Table 17, and Figure 18 also reduces other requirements as tabulated above. The acceptability of
these reduced requirements should be evaluated for a specific instrument transformer design and
application.

For current transformers with no primary insulation, such as bushing-type, there are no BIL,
chopped or applied voltage requirements.
