Spectrum Speed Test
Spectrum Speed Test
If you are having doubts about the efficiency of your Internet service provider, than
speed test is the answer to all your doubts. A third party speed test is always a better
choice for the transparency of the speed test as most Internet service providers ignore
routing factors. Speed test should display efficiency of your internet in real world
scenario instead of best case scenario. Moreover, they also eradicate many variables
while testing to hide their shortcomings for example, peering. This is done by sending
you to an internal hosted speed test. That is why, speed test offered by your Internet
service provider is not recommended.
To learn about the key stats and speed of Spectrum, see the spectrum speed test
results obtained by hundreds of thousands of user speed tests. Keep in mind that, this
speed test can be used to check the speed of any internet service provider along with
Spectrum. As most Spectrum speed tests are performed to identify Wifi issues, so the
average download speeds and average upload speeds shown are less the real world
scenario.
Spectrum Internet Speed Tier
Spectrum has 3 internet plan i.e Basic, Ultra and Gig.
Spectrum speed tier Upload speed Download speed
Basic 60-200 Mb/s 10 Mb/s
Ultra 300-400 Mb/s 20 Mb/s
Gig 940 Mb/s 35 Mb/s
If the desired results are not obtained by Spectrum speed test i.e average download
speed and upload speed less than the mentioned above, then call Spectrum customer
service.
Spectrum Download Speed
Spectrum boosts it’s download speed in all three plans as the download speed is much
more than the upload speed. This is because most users requirement is more
download speed than upload speed, also the cable has specific bandwidth for upload.
Most users require more download speed for the purpose of watching videos. This
requires a strong download speed. Spectrum’s download speed ranges from 60-1000
mb/s which is a lot.
If your spectrum speed test results are lower than expected than try troubleshooting
your connection such as using cable instead of WiFi or restarting your Wifi modem
and router or calling Spectrum customer service.
