Input as shown in figure.

5. Select ok in Project Details dialogue box


6. Input as follow in New Drawing: Project Dialogue box and select acad.dwt template and
select ok.

7. Select no when dialogue box prompt for ‘Save changes to Drawing1.dwg?’


8. Select m1000.set (Metric, 1:1000) and click Load button then select next in Load setting
dialogue box.

9. Make your setting as shown in screen shots below:

10. After finishing your setting you can save your setting for future. If you want to save provide
your setting name and select finish

11. Finish dialogue box pops up showing your setting. Check the dialogue box and click ok.
(Note: these setting can be changed from drawing setup command from project menu)

12. Check the Use Point Names for this tutorial and select ok in Create Point Database dialogue
box

13. Text style

POINT IMPORT
1. From point menu go to Import/Export Points and select Import Points Command

2. Select PENZD (comma delimited file) format, PNEZD_BRIDGE.csv file as Source file, and
click ok in Format Manager-Import Points dialogue box.

3. Click ok on COGO Database:Import Options dialogue box.

4. Points will be loaded in autocad window.

POINT SETTING
1. Select Point Setting command from Point menu.
2. Change following setting and select ok.

REMOVE POINT AND INSERT POINT


1. Select Remove from Drawing.. command from Point Menu.
2. Follow command line. Select yes i.e input y and enter.
3. Select All option i.e. input a and enter.
4. Select Insert Points to Drawing..
5. Select All option i.e. input a and enter.
6. Use Zoom Extend command to view all point in screen.

CREATE ALL POINT GROUP


1. Select Point Group Manager Command as shown in figure

3. Provide Group name as All, Description as All survey point, and check Include All Points.

4. Select ok.
5. Close Point Group Manager Dialogue box

CREATE SURFACE
1. Select Terrain Model Explorer… command

2. Right click on Terrain menu and select Create New Surface

3. Expand Terrain menu clicking + sign adjacent to Trerrain. Similarly open Surface1and Tin
Data. Right click on Surface1 and Rename it to EG (i.e. existing ground). Note that all the
values are set to zero indicating no data in the EG surface.

4. Right click on Point Groups and select Add Point Group.

5. Select ok.

Note: Any point group data can be selected if number of point group data are created.

6. Right Click on EG and select Build command

7. Check whether use point group data are checked on not. If it is unchecked checked it and
select ok.

8. Select ok when dialogue box prompt for Done building surface.


9. Close the Terrain Model Explorer dialogue box.

IMPORT 3D LINES
1. Go to Edit Surface in Terrain menu and select Import 3D Lines to plot triangulation line.

2. Select command yes (follow command line)

CREATE CONTOURS
1. Select Create Contours.. command from Terrain menu.

2. Ensure following setting and select Style Manager

3. Change different tabs of Contour Style Manager as follow:

4. Select Apply and ok.


5. Select ok in Create Contours dialogue box.
6. Follow command line. Select yes option. The contour appears in windows.
In this data there are some errors which can be rectify by erasing some point and again rebuilding
surface. Try to delete point numbers 41, 112, 38, 253, and 161, rebuild the surface, and create
contours.
