Firmware Update for AES 7706

• Check current firmware on panel display


• Press Enter
• Press 5
• Code 1111
• Press 7 for App Revisions
• End of the version number should be V3.14. If not, follow instructions below to update firmware.
• Tools needed
• Potter Update Utility: https://aes-corp.com/product/7706-ulf-integrated-fire-monitoring-system/
• Scroll to the middle of the page, and click “Download the Update” on the right-hand side.
• Unzip the downloaded file.
• Run setup.exe to install on your PC.
• Ethernet cable
• Laptop with ethernet port and internet access
• Change adapter options
• Click Start > Control Panel (search for it if necessary) > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing
Center > Change adapter settings.
• Right click on connected Ethernet device and click Properties.
• Double click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).”
• Select “Use the following IP address:”
• IP address: 169.254.150.1
• Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
• Make sure all other fields are blank.
• Click OK on both open windows to exit out of Properties popup windows and save the settings.
• Open Potter Update Utility
• Click the “Check Web for Updates” button.
• Once the list loads, verify the PFC-6006 version is 3.14.
• Connect the Ethernet port of the PC to the P-COMM port of the panel.
• Fill in the IP address of the panel as: 169.254.150.70.
• Fill in Remote Access Username and Password (default: Potter/Potter).
• Click “Get Version from Panel,” and verify the “Panel Version Info” fields are entered.
• Click on “Run Update.”
