Circular no: UIS/009/2020-21 April 20, 2020

Dear Parent,
Greetings from GEMS United Indian School!
Subject: ADEK – Ma’an’s Together We are Good Programme
Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has collaborated with the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma’an,
on the “Together We Are Good” programme, to help parents who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to
support them with the school tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria:
Parent who has been adversely affected by an employment change that was directly driven by the impact of
COVID-19, which resulted in the following:
Loss of job
Unpaid leave
Salary reduction (temporary or permanent)
Defaulted receivables
Loss of income
Any parent whose self-employment income has been directly affected by COVID-19 to the extent where he/she
has no other means to settle outstanding term 1-school fees.
This application will be sent to ADEK for any support they would like to offer on and above the support UIS has given
you. It is absolutely important that your application is appropriately supported with valid documents specified
hereunder:
Supporting Documentation Required:
Employed Parents must both provide:
Proof of change in compensation as a direct result of COVID-19 that includes:
Letter from the Employer stating the termination, unpaid leave status or temporary cut
Revised contract provided to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE)
Latest Bank Statements for the Period of January 2020 – March 2020 (referring to the bank account where the
salary was deposited)
Self-Employed Parents, the business owner, must provide:
VAT Registration Documentation for the business
2019 Financial Statements related to the business
Corporate Bank Statements for the period of January 2020- March 2020

The supporting documents needs to be mailed to [email protected] latest by Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
Please note, that we will stop receiving requests for tuition fee support on April 22, 4:30 p.m.
We thank you for your continued co-operation, and we reiterate that the extent and amount of support is not
defined yet nor is guaranteed. The decision of ADEK Ma’an Committee will be communicated to you as and when
we are informed by ADEK.
