Security that We have in the Philippines

Data privacy and information security is really important but nowadays it is easily
accessible, attainable, and breachable by any company whom we allowed to see and
use it to quote on quote "improve service" of their apps/websites, despite being publicly
stated most people are unaware that their privacy, data, and security is already
compromised by this companies that we entrust our data in which they make tons of
cash from selling our data. A popular example will be tiktok who's currently under fire by
many countries such as the U.S and India who banned the popular app just recently it is
heavily speculated that the app is promoting Chinese propaganda and censoring
anything that goes against it heavily implying that the Chinese government is somewhat
involved in this kerfuffle, even though tiktok denied such allegations and connection
from the Chinese government it still got banned by U.S, India and other countries
though not totally banned only with restrictions concerning privacy (including Japan,
Pakistan and Australia).

Many are still unaware on the worsening situation of our information security some
doesn't care at all saying that there's no harm in it but they have yet to realize what kind
of danger it actually pose to them and to every one else. If you want a way to protect
yourself from this considering getting a VPN (Virtual Private Network) buy a paid one to
ensure they won't sell your data too or just be careful on what apps and permissions
you accept, take time to read what it is for, read the terms of service and monitor your
data this way you won't fall prey to the hands of greedy companies and keep your
privacy and security intact.
