Circular - Preparation of Lesson Plans PDF

This circular reminds teachers and school administrators in Guyana that preparing lesson plans is mandatory, not optional. Previous circulars from 2001 advised on preparing yearly, termly, and lesson plans. However, inspection reports show that teachers are generally not preparing lesson plans. The absence of lesson plans indicates a lack of preparation to teach and poor school administration. School administrators will be asked to account for any teachers who cannot provide lesson plans when requested. Heads of Education Departments must inform all administrators and teachers of the Ministry's position on this issue.
