Module Guide

This module is designed and written with you, learners, in mind. It is made with the goal of
producing globally competitive learners despite the current global pandemic. In order for you to
navigate this module with ease, this module is created in a contextualized and simplified manner. To
ensure the accomplishment of the learning Outcomes, this module will cover the following topics for
you to master:

MODULE 1: Computer Systems, External-Internal Connections, and Assembly, and Operating


systems
This module will expand your confidence in technology use and increased awareness of
opportunities with computer application skills as well as recognizing the parts of computer
systems, specifically the parts of a system unit. This module introduces the important parts
of a computer system. This module is implying the importance of being knowledgeable of
computer elements, most especially in our current situation.

MODULE 2: Introduction to the Internet and the World Wide Web


In this module, you will learn the history of the internet and the World Wide Web. You will
learn how internet, a global communication system that has made all the services possible.
You will discover the difference between WWW and internet and be aware of the network
security.

MODULE 3: Basic Web Applications


Module 3 will walk you through the basic web application. You will learn to create your own
website wherein you can situate your created videos, instructional materials created in
PowerPoint, edited images and others. Being familiar with the flow and creation of a web
application is important specifically in blended or distance learning approach.

MODULE 4: Introduction to Digital Media Production


The last part of the course will cover the nature in digital media production. You will learn
about the editing of images and videos. As a would-be teacher, it is necessary for you to
learn about this matter which can be used in blended or in distance learning approach in
teaching.

This module was prepared for you to work on diligently and independently. Remember, the key
to successfully finish this module lies in your hands. To get the most from this module, you need to
do the following:

1. Understand the target. Begin by reading and understanding the Course Outcomes and every
unit Learning Outcome/s. These tell you what you should know and be able to do at the end
of this module.
2. Time Management. Study how you can manage to do activities of this module in
consideration of your other modules from other courses. Schedule and manage your time to
read and understand every part of the module. Read it over and over until you understand
the point. Do not ask about questions that are already answered in the guide.
3. Be Resourceful. If you do not understand the readings and other tasks, re-read. Focus. If
this will not work, engage all possible resources. You may ask other family members to help
you. If this will not work again, text me first so that I can call you or text you back for
assistance.
Note: You are the learner; hence, you do the module on your own. Your family members and
friends at home will support you, but activities must be done by you.
4. Give your best. In doing the assessment tasks, whether formative or summative, target the
highest standards. Do not settle with the low standards; target the highest standards in
doing your assigned tasks.
5. Don’t skip. Make sure to not miss any activities, either formative or summative activities. Do
the required learning activities.
6. Answer precisely. As much as a possible answer or do the tasks precisely. Hence, read the
direction carefully to accurately follow the instruction. Also, read the questions prudently to
be able to decide on the correct answer.
Note: Write neatly and legibly on the module. Make sure to give your answer completely and
concisely. Your answers should be composed of complete and grammatically correct
sentences. Do not use abbreviations and acronyms unless these are introduced in the
readings, and do not write in text-speak. Avoid writing in all caps. In rating your essay
answer, the rubric is attached after this page.
7. Submit on time. Do not procrastinate. Procrastination is a bad ethic which means not being
capable of doing work properly. Make sure to give time to your tasks given by this subject
for you to submit on time. Once I receive your materials, I will inform you immediately.
8. Be patient. I will make sure to give you feedback on your work to ensure that you are on the
right track. While waiting for my feedback of your accomplished modules, continue doing the
task in the succeeding units of the module that are scheduled for the finals.

Before going to the first module, you will need to answer a Pretest. Don't worry because it is a
non-graded assessment tool that will be used to determine your pre-existing subject knowledge. And
at the end of this module is a Post-test. At this point, you are expected to have more correct answers
than your pretest result, to check if you have an increase in knowledge and understanding about this
course.

By following the guidelines above, surely you will be able to accomplish all the required tasks in
this module. Just always remember this quote “where there's a will, there's a way.” I know you can
do it!
