Goal Setting
With the deeper understanding of your classroom from the ROAD model exercise, the first step of goal setting is to identify growth
areas in all aspects; Trust and Flexibility, Student Empowerment, Teachers as learners, Pedagogy: Techniques, Tools and Strategies
and Assessment and Evaluation.
As you read through your reflections, observations, student answers and peer discussions, there will be few areas that needs
to be improved or changed. Those specific areas which needs transformation are Growth areas. Based on the growth areas, think
about what you want to achieve to change the current situation. Connect to your previous learnings from the course, adapt it to your
current context and form goals.
When you define your goals, make sure they are SMART:
• Specific: Use action words to make your goal simple and concise.
• Measurable: Make sure your goals can be evaluated.
• Achievable: Goals should within your scope.
• Relevant: Goals should improve your current situation.
• Time bound: It needs to fit in a specific timeframe.

goals, pick one goal to implement in your classroom. Divide the goals into manageable steps or tasks and note in order of priority. Fill
in the subsequent columns with the guiding questions.
