Aristotle pointed out that the person at the end of communication process plays the key role to whether
or not communication takes place.
2.2 Thayer,s Model of Communication:
Organizational model attempts to show or to place the individual communication efforts within the
large organizational communication setting which influences him or her. It is based on levels of
communication. The levels are (i) Organizational, (ii) Interpersonal, (iii) Intrapersonal and (IV)
Technological which are derived from four basic sources or determinants of human communication
behavior. These basic sources are psychological, sociological and technological. This model of
communication will be clearer to us from the following diagram:

3. Improvement of traditional model: Traditional organizational models are not competent to fully
display the ongoing flow of messages among the employees. But modern business communication
model improve the traditional flow of communication.
4. Identification of noise source: Modern business communication model helps us to understand the
noise source or barriers which stand in the effective communication.
5. Communication plan: A model is a good communication plan. Model explains the
communication channel clearly than any other process. This is the most importance benefits of
business communication model.
6. Feedback facility: If you get feedback on your work or progress, someone tells you how well or
badly you are doing, and how you could improve. If you get good feedback you have worked or
performed well.
7. Using as a sample: The definition of a sample is a small part of something used to represent the
whole or to learn something about the whole.
