11. Should schools/colleges test students for drugs before admission?

Introduction:
Schools/colleges should not test students for drugs before admission because I believe
students whether addict or not should have a chance to see things from a different perspective
which a school or college environment provides. Moreover, an addict would not know more than
his or her own world of so called pleasure. Therefore, it is very important for an addict to know
that there is a more prosperous world out there that they can explore which starts with a college
scenario. Like, an addict would hardly interest himself with sports unless he has an opportunity
as well as a freewill to play. In addition, those students would get exposure to new friends who
can show them there is more to life than just getting high. There are also opportunities for extra-
curricular activities that could help them pass time which otherwise would be hard for an addict
unless he or she is high.
All addicts who are battling with themselves to find an identity to belong in the world
should at least get a crack at being at college as that will definitely help them to explore the idea
of life without drugs. It would also help them to pass time and indulge themselves in activities
which otherwise would only be limited to getting high. Furthermore, all the knowledge a student
would gain by being in a school environment provides dimension to addicts to see the world in
new contexts at all times.
