How to Install Google Input Tool for HIndi

Step 1 :Visit http://www.google.com/inputtools/windows/

Step 2 :Select hindi and click on download button as shown by arrow.

Step 3: Click on Save link to save google ime on your computer.Select the location to save or check your
default download folder.A file name InputToolsSetup.exe would have been downloaded.
Step 4: Double click on file to install google input tool in your computer.

Step 5: Click on Yes if asked for permissions and then installation will begin and you will see below
message if completed successfully.

Step 6: Use Alt+shift to switch between english and Hindi or you can click at desktop langugage bar to
select langauage.

Step 7: When you need to type in hindi. Select "Google input tool HIndi" by Alt+shift and start typing in
english, it will automatically convert to hindi.
Search for microsoft indic hindi language input tool in google

Download the software and install in Window 10

Press Alt+Sift for Hindi typing


Installing Hindi in Windows XP and Windows 7

(I) Installing Hindi in Windows XP (Windows XP CD may be


required for the same)
1) Click on "Start->Control Panel->(Date, Time, Language and Regional
Options)->Regional and Language Options"

See screen's snapshot below for better understanding

2) Click on 'Languages' tab (next to 'Regional Options') at the top

3) In 'Supplemental language support', see whether "Install files for


complex script and right to left languages (including thai)" is kept
ticked
4) If ticked, leave it as it is. If not ticked, tick it and following message will
be displayed.
5) It will start installing some required files and Windows XP CD may be
required to complete the process

6) You will have to click ‘Yes’ to restart the machine for the new setting to
take effect.

Enable Unicode in your computer:

1) Click on "Start->Control Panel->(Date, Time, Language and Regional


Options)->Regional and Language Options"

2) Click on 'Languages' tab (next to 'Regional Options') at the top


3) Click on 'Details' button , following screen will appear
4) Under 'Installed services' you will find your default Language/Keyboard
selected -most often it will be EN and US

5) Now, click 'Add' button. Click on the listbox titled 'Input language'. Scroll
down or up the list to select 'Hindi’.
6) Click 'OK'. 7) Under 'Installed services' you will now find two
entries 'EN' and 'HI'.

8) Click OK.

Now in Taskbar ‘EN’ icon will displayed. Click it , EN and HI will be


shown.
Now click EN to enter data in English and HI to enter data in Hindi as per your
requirement.
(II) Installing Hindi in Windows 7

Adding display languages and adding keyboards


The Unicode technology has made life easier for those who work in Hindi and other Indic and
regional languages. Adding Hindi as a display language and adding Hindi keyboards or input
methods is as easy as clicking a few buttons. For adding Hindi as a display languages on
Windows 7 follow these steps:
• Go to Control Panel 

• Choose Region and Language 

• Click Keyboards & Languages tab > 

• For changing keyboards, click Change Keyboards >General>Add>Hindi 
• Click    on Add button and from the list, select Hindi(India) 

• Changing the keyboard back to English press Alt+Shift again. 
In the list, you will find two keyboards displaying English and Hindi, as shown in the below
screen.

Now you can change your keyboard from English to Devnagri-Inscript by pressing Alt+Shift.
Installing Hindi in Windows XP (Windows XP CD may be
required for the same)
