Constitution and By-Laws
Of the
PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB
We, the students of the Taguig City University, members of the Physical Education Club
beseeching the help of almighty God, in order to build a centralized and organized student
organization, to develop students in leadership skills and social responsibilities, and
establish a unified student organization that shall embody the ideals and principles of
democracy, in collective efforts to promote the welfare of all students and the academic
standards of our school , do hereby adopt and promulgate this constitution and By-Laws
for our purposes, aims, and function be realized and achieved to its fullest extent.

ARTICLE I

General Provisions

Section 1. This Constitution and By-Laws shall be known as the Constitution and By-Laws of
the “PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB”.

Section 2. For purposes of this constitution and By-Laws PE CLUB refers to the PHYSICAL
EDUCATION CLUB of the College of Education of Taguig City University.

ARTICLE II

Name and Domicile

Section 1. The name of the organization shall be known as the “PHYSICAL EDUCATION
CLUB”.

Section 2. The office of the PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB shall be located inside the
university premises.

ARTICLE III

Purposes

Section 1. The PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB (PE CLUB) is establish for the purposes of
developing leadership skills as well as an awareness of social responsibilities to encourage
students to participate in public affairs.
Section 2. The PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB (PE CLUB) understands and is committed
to fulfilling its responsibilities for abiding the Taguig City University policies.

Section 3. The PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB (PE CLUB) promotes a healthy faculty
students relationship and aims to produce competitive students to face the challenges ahead of
young professionals in the education field.

ARTICLE IV

Affiliations

The PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB (PE CLUB) will be chartered with, and affiliated with
the society of Student-Teachers and the Taguig City University Student Council.

ARTICLE V

Membership and funding

Section 1. All students enrolled in Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Physical


Education will be automatically considered member of the organization. Active membership
shall be limited to persons officially connected with Taguig City University as faculty, staff
and registered students.

Section 2. All members of the club are obliged to pay the organizational contribution that
cost of ₱50 (Fifty pesos) for the whole school year.

Section 3. Payment in full of financial obligation will be determined by the organization.


The money that will be collected out from each registered student or member will be used as
fund of the organization in the entire year. Allocation of the budget will be subject to the
decision of the majority of the members, pending the approval of the Executive Board.

Section 4. All cash prizes by the activities joined by the joined members of the organizations
within or outside the school should be surrendered to the Chapter Treasurer and will be added
as fund unless if the cash prize is from individual academic awards.

Section 5. Except for the personal intentions and financial distress, the budget of the
organization will be used for all academic and curricular activity purposes. Borrowing of
money will be strictly prohibited unless if its subject as aid to any natural calamities.

Section 6. Attendance of all members of the organization particularly the elected officers is a
must or at least 75% of all meetings during a given semester.

Section 7. Active participation in all activities sponsored by the PHYSICAL EDUCATION


CLUB is deemed necessary unless if the activity interferes with either scholastic or financial
constrains.
Section 8. The Physical Education Club openly admits students to its membership and does
not discriminate on the bases of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, religion, marital
status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental
disability, or on the basics of rights secured by the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

ARTICLE VI

Officer Duties

Section 1. The officer of the organization shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary
and Assistant Secretary, a Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, an Auditor, a Business Manager,
a Public Information Officer, and (4) year level representative. Funds are properly liquidated;
maintain ‘zero” tolerance of any financial anomalies or any related incidents.

Section 9. The business manager is the principal proponent of all business transactions and
activities of the organization both inside and outside of the school. Other duties are the
following:

a. Chair of the Fund-raising Committee


b. Be responsible for developing fund-raising ideas and soliciting donations.
c. Provide a financial statement of all business transaction of the Organization to be
assisted by the chapter treasurer or the auditor

Section 10. The Public Information officers of each year level will be obliged to coordinate all
the activities of the Organizations in the University and should report feedback in every
projects or programs of the Organization, and should be responsible for information
dissemination of all or any general information, updates or announcements that merely related
to, or might affect the Organization. He or she, aside from the President, may also be sent to
other school for any academic purposes. They must also be active in extra-curricular activities
of the university and will act as event organizers.

ARTICLE VII

REPRESENTATIVES

Article 1. Each year-level must have at least one representative and shall be based upon the
result of the election of each year level. The date, venue and procedure for the election in the
said position will be announced by the President of the Club.

Section 2. The advisor should be guide the activities of the Organization, or should suggest
educational that may be benefit the students or the school as a whole.
Section 3. Should the position of the Advisor become vacant during his/her term, the college
dean may appoint a new one.

ARTICLE X

SEAL

The officers shall provide an Organization’s seal

ARTICLE XI

SPONSOR

Section 1. The chapter will select a faculty member to serve as the chapter sponsor. The
sponsor will aid in the running of the chapter and serve as a liaison between the chapter and
the school administration.

Section 2. In the event that a faculty cannot be found, the chapter will then select a new
member to serve in that position.

Section 3. The Chapter Advisor and the Chapter Sponsor can be of the same person
depending upon the approval of the majority of the Organization.
