Inspiration

Pitch
DogSitter is a 2 player coop game in split
screen with an asymmetric gameplay
One player plays a dog that is trapped in a
room an the other plays it’s Dog sitter that
tries to rescue him.
The core mechanic is that game elements
can cross the split screen. 4
Targeted platform :

Our objective ? reach as many players as we can !


Our game can adapt to every platform except smartphone
(split screen issue) all you need is two controllers and one
TV to play !

Left stick or D-pad to move

A to jump
B to dash
X to attack (as player 1)
X to bark (as player 2)
Y to shoot or interact

Player one (the dog sitter) : Player two (the dog):


He can move, jump and double It can move, jump, bark and interact
jump. with objects
He has a dash, can attack and It also has a fun bar that the player
interact with ingame elements needs to keep full or the dog will die
of boredom (game over)

Core Mechanic

Some game elements can cross the split screen

The goal is to create indirect interaction between


the players.
Only few elements can cross the screen and can
be used in both screens as bonuses for players
and even malus sometimes. 11
Core gameplay Player one

Run as fast as you can to save your dog of boredom. Travel


different levels with multiple platforms, traps and enemies.
You can shoot with your gun to kill ennemis in your way and
also help your dog in the other screen with your projectiles.

Core gameplay Player two

As a dog, your only goal is to have fun and not die of boredom
You have a fun bar that forces you to keep doing dog things !
You can search everywhere for food, interact with the room
elements and play with other animals or monsters.
In P2 gameplay, the elements that can go through the split screen
are triggered automatically when you do some contextual actions.

Interaction example

In the dog’s room there is a library, if the dog decides to play with book he can overturn
the bookshelf.

The books will go through the split screen and in the player one gameplay.

These books can deal damage to player one and also create impassable walls

As player one, you are a dog sitter that will go through all the
dangers to save his dog from boredom !

As player two, incarnate a dog that only wants to have fun


and does what he wants without care in the world !
