Flipkart conducted research to identify factors that influence an employee's value to predict the potential value of candidates. These factors included relevant experience, cost to the company, analytical skill score, communication skill score, and programming skill score. Flipkart collected data on these factors for 20 system engineers currently working at the company. A regression analysis found the factors of cost to company, communication skill score, and programming skill score to be statistically significant in predicting employee value, while relevant experience and analytical skill score were not.
