Preservation - Rehab./Reconst. Of National Roads with Slips, Slope Collapse &
Landslide, Secondary Roads - Network Development: Road Widening - Secondary
Roads Catanduanes Circumferential Road is hereby requested, in accordance with Clause
44.1 of the General Condition of Contract which states that “Variation Order may be issued by
the PROCURING ENTITY to cover any increase/decrease in quantities, including the introduction
of new items that are either due to change of plans, design or alignment to suit actual field
conditions resulting in disparity between the preconstruction plans used for purposes of bidding
and the as-staked plans or construction drawings prepared after a joint survey by the
Contractor and PROCURING ENTITY after award of the contract, provided that the cumulative
amount of the Variation Order does not exceed TEN PERCENT (10%) of the original project
cost. The addition/deletion of works should be within the general scope of the project as bid
and awarded. A Variation Order may either be in the form of a Change Order or Extra Work
Order”.
1. Deletion of Item A.1.2(2) - Provision of 4x4 Pick Up Type Service Vehicle for the
Engineers on Bare Rental Basis and Item A.1.2(5) - Operation and Maintenance of 4x4
Pick Up Type Service Vehicle for the Engineers to give priority to more important item of
work for the responsive completion of the project.
4. Increased in quantities of Item 103(3) - Foundation Fill, Item 500(1)a3 - Pipe Culvert,
910mm. Dia., Class II RCPC, Item 600(7) - Curb and Gutter, Precast and Item 601(1) -
Sidewalk, 100mm thick are due to the incorporation of each needed quantity in the
construction of 910mm dia. Class II RCPC drainage structure at station 197+950 -
197+997 (Right Side) which were not included in the original quantity computation but
necessary for the continuity of flow of water at the drainage channel.

5. Decreased in quantity due to the removal of the construction of Item 505(2)a - Grouted
Riprap, Class A at station 197+950 - 197+997 (Right Side) to divert the runoff of water
away from the right side of the sidewalk to avoid flooding on the front area of the
school.
