40058-3 Position sensor, clutch, check

Special tools: 9998543, 9998699, 9998563

Other special equipment: 9510060

NOTE!

For information about fault codes:

MID 130 PID 33 Clutch cylinder, position .

Read off other fault codes for MID 130.
If fault codes for several of MID 130–PID 33, PID 37, PID 177 are stored, there is probably a fault on the common
ground lead.
The sensor is an “active” component, which means that it is not possible to measure the sensor resistance.
Check all relevant connectors. Check for loose connections, contact resistance and oxidation. For a detailed
description of electrical fault tracing, see separate service information under Group 371.
Faults in the control unit cable harness can damage the component.

Tests that can be carried out in the PC tool

40010-2 Clutch cylinder, test

Calibrations that can be carried out in the PC tool

If necessary, calibrate the gearbox in the following order:

1. 40084-2 Clutch throw and wear, calibration

2. 40104– 2 Gearbox, calibration
3. 40053-2 Clutch engagement point, calibration

Checking sub-systems

Conditions:

Ignition key in the drive position

The PC tool connected to the cart using the communication cable.
Calibration is carried out using the PC tool.

Note: Proceed with calibration operations in the order given below, carefully following the instructions given in the PC
tool.

1. 40084-2 Clutch throw and wear, calibration

2. 40104-2 Gearbox, calibration
3. 40053-2 Clutch engagement point, calibration
