Welcome to

HELP GUIDE

Welcome to the Detailed Help Guide. This Guide will lead you to
change images, texts, different elements etc. Please note that this
guideline is not specific for this PSD File you downloaded. It is for
every flyer design PSD file. That is why it includes so many helpful
tutorial things. Lets get started.
How to Change
TEXTS

Open the PSD file and then go to the Layers panel. If you didn’t see the
layer panel then go to Window>Layers or press F7 in your keyboard.

Expand the folders named such as “Text Edit”, “Texts”, “Texts for Edit”
or you will see that some folders are color coded. These are meant to be
edited. Double click on the Thumbnail of the Text Layer (Shown in the Red
Circle), then type whatever you wanted to. Hit Enter from the Numeric
Keypad to accept the text.

You can also change the Opacity (Shown in the Yellow Circle) to reduce the
visibility of the Text.
How to Change
TYPOGRAPHY

When Changing any Text info, you can change Font, Font size, Line Height,
Letter Spacing etc. To do that, you have to open the Character Panel. Go to
Window>Character to open the Character Panel.

Font Family : Green Rectangle


Font Size : Red Rectangle
Line Height : Magenta Rectangle
Tracking : Yellow Rectangle

Experiment with these settings to change the look & feel of the Flyer.
How to Change
IMAGE

Go to the Layers panel. Expand the folders named such as “Replace Your Image”, “Background
Image”, “Image Placeholder” or you will see that some folders are color coded. These are meant
to be edited.

Check the Smart Object Layer (Shown in the Red Circle), if it says “Right Click>Replace
Contents”, then do what it says. It means, Right Click on the layer and choose “Replace
Contents”. Browse your image, select one and choose “Place”. You can transform the Image by
pressing Ctrl/Cmd+T. Hold SHIFT and drag any Corner Point to scale UP or DOWN the Image.

If it says, “Double Click & Paste”, then do what it says. [First of all, Open any image & press “Ctrl/
Cmd+A”, then “Ctrl/Cmd+C” to Copy the Image.] It means, Double Click on the Thumbnail Icon
(Shown in the Red Circle) of the Smart Object Layer. It will open a new window. Paste your image
by pressing “Ctrl/Cmd+V”. You can transform the Image by pressing Ctrl/Cmd+T. Hold SHIFT
and drag any Corner Point to scale UP or DOWN to fit the Image Properly. Save this document,
close it, you will see the image is updated to the Main PSD.
How to
FLATTEN LAYERS

Flattening all layers is a way to Merge All Layers to A Single Layer. If you
flatten layers you can easily save your document to various format such as
JPEG, PNG, TIFF or PSD.

To flattening layers, go to “Window>Flatten Image”. If it says “Discard


hidden layers?”, choose “OK”. It will be a Single Merged Layer. You are
ready to save it. Press “Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+S”, Below the “File Name” option,
you will se “Save as type”. Select any format you like, then press the “Save”
button. Thats it.
How to Change
PPI & IMAGE SIZE

First of all, you have to flatten the layers (Not Necessary but
Recommended). To flattening layers, go to “Window>Flatten Image”.

Then go to “Image>Image Size” or press “Ctrl/Cmd+Alt/Option+i” to bring


the Image Size dialog box. Uncheck the “Resample” & type 72 for screen/
web instead of 300 in the “Resolution” Box. Press OK.

If you want to change the image’s dimension also then change the Width &
Height too.
How to Convert
CMYK to RGB

First of all, you have to flatten the layers (Not Necessary but
Recommended). To flattening layers, go to “Window>Flatten Image”.

Then go to “Image>Mode>RGB Color”

Note : RGB Color is best for Screen/Monitor/Web & CMYK Color is best
for Print. So if you want to use the flyer for Website, please convert it
from CMYK to RGB.
How to Check
BLEED & GUIDES

If you want to check Bleed & Safe Area, then go to layer panel, turn ON
the “Bleed” folder’s eye icon. There is nothing to do actually, in case you
want to check that everything is okay or not. When you are ready to print
please turn OFF the Bleed Group folder and then print it.

The Guidelines will be visible if you press Ctrl/Cmd+;


To Hide Guidelines, press Ctrl/Cmd+; again!
