Many world class musicians were brought in to capture the exact tones and sounds you’d
capture in a big budget Hard Rock studio recording including executive producer/guitarist,
George Lacava, who was first recognized on the controversial Cop Killer Tour, and nationally
for his role with electronic sensation, Razed in Black. Co-producer, Ed Faris, is an award-
winning engineer/composer and guitarist known for his cutting edge sounds and creative
writing style, making him the driving force behind the popular band Adema.
Decade of Distortion also features some of rock music’s most innovative and elite drummers
with the hard hitting playing style of Matt Laug, who has toured and recorded with
legendary guitarist, Slash, on his Snake Pit tour supporting AC/DC. Matt has recorded with
Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, Christina Aguilera and more. Special guest drummer Mike
Hansen, who has toured with Steve Vai and recently toured/recorded with George Lynch,
brings his technical and creative approach to the project. And finally, the thunderous playing
of seven-time Grammy nominee Nick Menza, known for his explosive drumming style he
brought to one of rock music’s most legendary bands, Megadeth.

Big Fish Audio construction kits are broken down as such: Within the specific format
folder, i.e. WAV, Apple Loop, REX2, there are 29 named folders. These are your “kits”.
See below for folder naming breakdown.
When importing Apple Loops into Garageband or Logic straight from a CD or DVD,
the files are automatically placed on your system drive. If this is where you want to
keep your Apple Loops, then simply drag the entire Apple Loops folder from this Big
Fish Audio product to the loop browser in Logic or as seen below in Garageband. For
some people, this method can be a problem since Apple Loops can take up a lot of
space and can’t simply be moved after they are indexed. Also, many people prefer to
have all their sounds and loops on external drives. In order to place these files on an
external drive, we suggest copying the Apple Loops folder from this Big Fish Audio
product to your external drive first. When you have the product exactly where you
want it then drag and drop the entire product folder to the browser in Garageband or
Logic.

Once the conversion is complete, you have the option to search your entire Apple
Loops library or to access only the sounds on this or any other specific product. To do
this, use the Jam Pack browser tab in Logic’s loop browser or the loops tab in
Garageband (available only in Garageband 2 and higher) as shown above. It’s
important to note that you may not move files or folders around once it has already
been indexed or you will lose the ability to use them from your loop browser. If you
need to move files or folders around after you’ve indexed them, you need to drag and
drop the folder(s) again and allow them to be re-indexed from their new location.
