TRUMP INTERVIEW FORM FIN Jun 13
I am Mohammad Mehedi Hasan. I’ve been working as an accountant for more than seven years. At my current job in the finance and accounts
department of a multinational company (Unimoni ,A Finablr Company) in UAE, I am responsible for the maintenance of all financial records
in the company, collecting and monitoring revenue, processing vendor payments as well as preparing accurate reconciliation and timely
financial reports.
I have prepared myself to become a successful accountant by working hard in my career. I have shown a high level of confidence, progression
and commitment in my current role. I have a Masters in Economics, Islamic University, Bangladesh and did several certified course in
accounting. Such as; Accounting Basics, Accounting Foundations: Bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online Essential Training, and Accounting
Foundations: Finance Essentials. I also enrolled as a student in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants program, UK. On 2018, I
was promoted from a junior Accountant to Senior Accountant. Before I was working as a branch accountant and now I have to monitor the
entire accounts procedure of twenty two branches. Where, I have to manage around twenty two junior branch account staff.
I enjoy working with computers and have experience with the Microsoft Office suite. I can also set up and work with spreadsheets. I learn new
systems quickly." As a result I learned few accounting related program quickly, such as; BOS, AMS, Quickbooks and SAP.
I’m known for being a detail-oriented, well-organized team player. I never miss deadlines, I’m a good communicator and I can juggle
multiple tasks at once. In my performance reviews, my supervisor always notes that he appreciates my professionalism and enthusiasm for the
job.
With this experience under my belt, I’m looking for an opportunity to take the next step in my career. I’m hoping to do so in an organization
like yours that works to improve the environment, which is something I’m passionate about.
•Why do you want to work at our company
I’ve heard of your reputation in the industry, and I would be proud to work for a company with such an excellent track record and a strong
example of leadership in the industry. I've read employee testimonials and found that the culture here is top notch and that management
supports continuing education and learning on the job while rewarding hard work. Based on his assessment and encouragement, I think that I
would fit in perfectly with the team here to make an immediate impact.
I had been with the organization for a number of years and wanted to experience a new environment to continue growing.
And lastly I'm the type of person that if you ask me a question and I don't know the answer, I'm gonna tell you that I don't know. But I bet you
what, I know how to find the answer and I will find the answer.
•What are your strengths and weaknesses
One of my greatest strengths is I do try my best to be a perfectionist. I have the ability to see a situation from different perspectives and get
my work done even in the face of difficult obstacles. My communication skills are top-notch and I am approachable by all. I feel just as
comfortable presenting to seniors as I do mediate conflicts between junior team members. I worked as an accountant in the past so I have that
perspective of an account manager.
Another of my strengths is my strong work ethic. When I commit to a deadline, I do whatever it takes to deliver. For example, last week we
had a report due and got some numbers back late from our team in India. Another of my strength is my strong work ethic. When I commit to a
deadline, I do whatever it takes to deliver. For example, last week we had a report due and got some numbers back late from our team in
India. I pulled an all-nighter to finish the spreadsheet because I knew that the client had to receive the report on time.
Regarding weakness, I often become impatient if I don’t receive quality support from my staff in a timely manner. That's why I've always
preferred roles that require working independently. However, I've also worked to improve this weakness by enrolling in team building
workshops and becoming more reasonable. While I typically work independently, it's nonetheless important I learn how to trust my
coworkers and ask for outside help when necessary.
I think that smart work and hard work together make a genius. I am deeply inspired by three famous personalities – Albert Einstein, Michael
Jordan and Warren Buffet. In their stories, it is clear that they spent years working hard in their respective fields and were able to produce
results, which the world had never known before! Today, Warren Buffet can make smart judgments in the field of investments because he has
worked hard to gain those skills. I do not shy away from hard work as I see that the end result will be my ability to work smartly and be the
best in a particular field. My current manager would definitely say that I am a hard worker. Besides, once I pick up a new skill, I am quick to
apply it to get quicker results, which kind of makes me a smart worker too!
•Are you a risk taker or do you like to stay away from taking risks
I see myself as a risk taker. But before taking the risk, I always evaluate all other options, weigh the pro's and con's of success and failure, and
after careful consideration, I would definitely take a risk if the rewards were high enough. I view staying away from risks similar to staying
away from a gold mine surrounded by dynamite. Of course if you don't know what triggers the dynamite, it would be unwise to take that risk.
But if you study the situation and know the location of all dynamite and the way they are triggered, then the risk is minimized. Some people
would not explore the options to reduce the risk, but I would definitely study each situation and take a risk that would improve my personal or
company's situation.
I've been an accountant supervisor for last four years. I started with a team of thirteen staff seven years ago at UAE Exchange, and then I
transitioned to my current role at UAE Exchange, Global Head Office as an accountant, where I am managing a team of twenty two junior staff.
Who are directly takes accounts related approvals from me.
• If you're told by your boss to do something that you feel is illegal, what would you do
I would not do something that is against my moral character. I would probably tell my boss that I couldn’t do it and why. If it was something
that I felt made little difference in the day to day world I might do it. An example: I used to work at a place where the employee parking lot
was actually a public parking lot that had a nine-hour limit for any car being parked there. I arrived at work much earlier than my boss and
walked the 3/4 mile to the office. When he got in a couple hours earlier he had park her car there as well. The parking police would come
along early in the day and leave a chalk mark on the vehicles tires indicating what time they came in and if you left your car there more than
nine hours you’d get a ticket. So the first one out would wipe the chalk marks away from the tires and they would be remarked on the next
circuit of the parking police. Boss and I had a deal that we’d clear each other’s tires when we went out. It’s Illegal, yes. Punishable with a 200
AED fine and ticket. But honestly I didn’t see the harm in parking there. The lot was never ever full and this was where our company
designated that we park. So, that I would do. I know, it probably technically makes me a criminal.
I was not financially that much good, it was absolutely unaffordable for my parents to admit me in some private engineering university. My
parent had started my admission process in a private engineering college, which was too expensive. They told me to admit but I drop the idea
of joining that private university and I took admission to a public university of another town, where I positioned 3rd in my admission test with
a low fee structure.
It was very difficult for me to choose between these two career options.
•How do you define success
I define success in different ways. At work, it is meeting the goals set by my supervisors and my fellow workers. It is my understanding, from
talking to a few of your other employees, that the Unimoni (UAE Exchange) Company is recognized not only for rewarding success but also
for giving employees opportunities to grow. After work, Success, for me, will always be about making a difference in other people’s lives. If I
know that at the end of the day my work has helped someone find a job or feed their family or turn their life around, then I sleep well at night
and wake up eager to start work all over again the next day.
•What will you do when you have a problem with your boss
When I have a problem with my boss, I don't like to keep it bottled up. I want to resolve problems so I can work efficiently without
distractions. So I always talk to my manager about the problems that I have openly.
• What position would you prefer to work in this organization and why do you think you should be
employed in such designation
I would prefer to work as an assistant account manager for this organization. As an Accountant in Unimoni (UAE
Exchange), Global Head Office, Abu Dhabi, UAE, I believe I meet all the essential criteria for the position. A

•How much salary do you expect to be paid if employed
I'm open to discussing what you believe to be a fair salary for the position. However, based on my previous salary, my knowledge of the
industry, and my understanding of this geographic area, I'd expect a salary in the general range of 25.00 $/hour to 30.00 $/hour. Again, I'm
open to discussing these numbers with you.
If you were hiring a person for this job, what would you look for
If I were the hiring manager for this position, I would look for a candidate meeting all essential skills, person specific qualities like motivation
factors, job satisfaction and most importantly who I can work with as a colleague and team member.
Moreover the position for him “a dream comes true”. I know from my experiences a candidate with such quality definitely give his best for
