 Change may be on piece-meal basis, but transformation is total

 Planned Transformation is proactive.

 It is well planned by management to prepare the organization


for the future.

 It provides good time to bring about the desired changes.

 It is carried out as a reaction to sudden changes in the external


environment like :

o entry of new competitors,


o introduction of substitute in the market,
o government regulations and
o changing expectations of customers etc.

• Change is systemic and revolutionary.

• Change demands a new organizing paradigm.

• Change is driven by senior executives and line management.
