2. Encourage them to write encouraging words to the person next to them. If there is visitor, encourage to speak
about them.
3. Play Christian music while they are writing

AFTER THE ACTIVITY:

1. Encourage each one to share of what they have been written about the person next to them.

3. Let’s go to the negative—what did you feel when someone say something negative on your part?

TEACH – Encouragement
 You might have guessed that today we are going to be talking about cheering one another on, or
encouraging one another.
 We forget to tell each other that we truly thank God for each other.
 There is something really powerful that happens when we say or write words with the purpose of
encouraging each other.
 Don’t just assume that others know how you feel, but let them know the talents and gifts that you see in
them.
 As our scripture said, “do this as the day draws near”, which is a way of saying that we never know how
much time we may have to bless one another.
 Take the opportunity today to encourage one another.

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Philippians 1:3-11

 In line with these verses, how will you encourage one another? What do you think, how would you build
each other up? Give some practical ideas. For example how would you give encouragement someone you
feel he/she doesn’t deserve it or if someone does you wrong?
