Introduction
When someone needs to create, manage or modify a website, they will use a content management
system. By using this type of software, it is possible to do all of those things without the need for
computer technical knowledge. Basically a CMS is a tool that helps with creating or maintaining a

a person know which tool is fit for the job? I took the initiative to do my own research and compare
two different CMSs. I will compare them with a set of criteria to see how they differ.

Reading multiple reviews about Wix, made me more convinced on how user-friendly and easy the tool is. Your experience
with Wix will be flawless from the start, when you setup the programme and make an account. To the step where you have

I once worked with Wix, although it was a while back with an older version. It has been a flawless experience, right from the
start. Finding the website was extremely easy, registering and setting it up. Navigating through the menus is a joy, every
function has a clear icon to indicate. If I wasn’t sure about a certain functions, I had my cursor on the exclamation mark to
have a pop-up. Showing me additional information on what the function is and how to use it. I personally think that’s a neat
feature to have on a creational tool. When I was making the website, I had a change of heart and wanted to go with another
design. All I had to do, was make a new concept and start working on it without deleting the first. After finishing both sites I
had the chance to compare them on one platform. To decide which one I will choose. During the procedure of making the
website, I haven’t encountered any problems with the use of Wix. In case I had a question or something wasn’t clear (didn’t
happen a lot), I looked it up on the Wix Academy. There I could find the answer to my questions without any problems.

With doing this thorough research and consulting numerous sources and blogs about this topic, I concluded the following:
That Wix is a content management system that is targeting smaller businesses and individuals. People who aren’t advanced
in IT and coding science. Because they offer them a user-friendly website for free depending on what you want. Unlike Drupal,
the system that is substantially more advanced then Wix. With target group, people who knows what they want and how to
achieve their goal. Drupal offers more tools and plug-ins to aid the creator to manage their website and keep it up-to-date.

I believe this exercise has opened my eyes onn the content management systems that we can use. That made me compare
them and see which one if suitable for which purpose. Their advantages and disadvantages, how to use them, how to protect
the data used in it and a lot more. I am certain that with this knowledge, I will choose the most suitable tool for the next time
I need to make a website or a blog.
