 Basic Concepts: Definition of computer, Characteristics of computer, Conversion of small


and big units of data storage.
 Binary Systems: Why use binary no. system in computers? Significance of a byte, What is
real world data? What is data representation? What is the number system? Conversion
of binary numbers into denary numbers and vice versa.

Section B:

i. Problem Solving

 Introduction to Algorithms (Pseudocode and flowchart).


 All problems of making Pseudocode in fair section of register.
 All problems of drawing Flowcharts in fair section of register.
 Pseudocode and flowchart of geometrical shapes.
 Trace Table

ii. Programming:

 What is an IDE? Steps of making computer programs in an IDE.


 Structure and main elements of a C language program: functions, statements, pre-
processor directives, header files, library functions.
 Programs: printing lines of text, printing sum, difference, product, and quotient of two
input numbers, printing from minutes into seconds, calculations and printing different
properties of geometrical shapes.
2. Grade 9:

Section A:
